I love an easy romance. I also love it when an author can make you feel so deeply for a couple. This couple just spoke to me in so many ways. Their love was innocent in the beginning only to be torn apart. But life didn't stop there for them. It had to go on and heartache and pain made them into different people in a lot of ways. So much had happened but the passion was still there and the only thing keeping them from falling right back into love is Alexa's deeply rooted heartbreak of so long ago. That and the fear of loosing someone all over again just kept her at a distance from Jace.
Jace doesn't give up and he's the perfect book boyfriend.
He is so sweet and loving and his steadfastness is what Alexa needs to put the pieces of her heart back together.
I cried several times reading this book, but a lot of those were happy tears. There are some funny secondary characters and after being introduced to Jace's friend Knox, and knowing the next book is his story, I'm so intrigued. Tessa is a passionate writer and paints an intimate picture in words. I can't wait for more and am so glad to have been able to fall in love with these characters.
