5 stars and more!!! Wow, just wow. Loved this book even though in a lot of ways the plot was so disturbing considering where and why Mason became what he was. My heart broke for him and I wanted to claw Mrs. Garrison's eyes out with the heal of her Christian Louboutin heels. Mason and Reese were so freaking cute together but at the same time OMG at freaking sexual frustration and buildup in this book! and then
~Mason Lowe~
Once these 2 connected it was like fireworks
Closing his eyes, he muttered something under his breath right before he sealed our mouths together. We both made a sound as our lips locked. He pulled back just enough to gaze at me. And then he went back for more.
It was everything I’d ever dreamed about and so much more. As his lips plundered persistently, I wrapped my arms around him and tipped my face up for more. Tethering me around the waist, he pulled us flush as his tongue stroked the roof of my mouth before tangling with mine
“Thank you,” he said. “I’ve always wondered what it felt like to make love.”
I turned my face to the side and saw his heart reflecting through the stained-glass windows of his gorgeous gray eyes. Realizing this was the first time I’d made love too, my lashes grew a little damp. Cupping his cheek where his five o’clock shadow prickled my palm, I murmured, “It is a million times better than that icky ol’ straight sex with no feelings involved, isn’t it? He teased my ear with his nose. “Fifty million times better.”
Another special part of this story was how gracefully and honest the situation with Mason's special needs sister was written. Linda Kage showed how it's human to maybe feel uncomfortable when first encountering a special needs child or person. It is not HUMAN though to treat them any less than just that HUMAN. Bravo ..Linda at this beautiful message in a heartwarming story. Sara really touched my heart and I laughed out loud and cried like a baby reading the wonderful moments when she graced us with her presence.
