An Act Of Redemption (Acts Of Honor Series Book 1) by K.C. Lynn @AuthorKCLynn

I just finished An Act of Redemption and again KC has stole my heart. My son is a US Marine and served in Afghanistan.. So many of his buddies have suffered from PTSD and fall behind forgotten sometimes. I appreciate what this author was conveying and love her for it. The men who fight for us everyday ..are sometimes so easy to push aside and forget once the war is over.

I loved Logan and Anna and am so absolutely over the moon they stayed faithful to each other all those years. This proves loves stories that are the most touching stand solely on the intense feelings the characters show by their actions, no unnecessary drama needed.

Logan struggled to put his past behind him and at the same time show not only those around him but himself that he was worth of love and that he was a good man. While he climbed his own hill of redemption , he found those that loved him all along and believed in him the whole time were waiting on the other side. Anna was courageous, feisty and loyal. Together these two made the picture of endless, undying love. K. C. has hit the nail on the head when it comes to passion and romance. This had the HEAT we are accustomed to but it had the most beautiful emotions in every love scene.

Visiting with previous characters had me laughing out loud. There were so many pages of me just smiling.
It was fresh, sexy, funny and heartwarming. It had the perfect balance of laughter to tears, passion to pain and family to romance. 5 hundred stars. .

Once Loved (Shattered Past #2) by Cecy Robson @cecyrobson

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/22890017-once-loved

By chapter three of this book I was completely mesmerized
by the side plot of Lety and her employment family . This is big for me since the romance is always what grabs me. Not this time. I fell in love with this book because of the emotions it brought out in my heart right from the start and it had nothing to do with the main couple. Lety's employment taking care of a family with a disabled father and son ..broke my heart and at the same time put it back together again. The broken man trapped by his paralysis and the wife and mom afraid to touch her child. Then the sweet eight year old boy caught inside the mind of one half his age. Total tears people! The way Lety reacted to these circumstances was graceful with empathy and sheer humanity of the purest form. Cecy blew me away in one chapter and the love story hadn't even really began yet. Brody an Lety both tried getting over each other in the year they were apart and failed miserably. There were no described scenes in their separation so I didn't have that "other woman or other man" angst in my face. The year is behind them and they are drawn together again emotions
ran high right away. Lety was fighting it thinking he deserved better but Brody wasn't giving up. I love a hero that won't back down!!

After slowly revealing background surprises, twists that had my jaw dropping, I was quickly and completely sucked in. Brody was by far one amazing hero. The patient way he loved Lety filled my heart with swooning moments. Sweet and sexy their love story transcended just two people. Together they helped heal an entire family and also break the cycle of endless nightmares in another. To see Teo and Evie was beautiful. I had so many moments of bittersweet tears. Cecy has really wrote such life like characters that I just feel like I was part of their group.. On the sidelines feeling like family. Absolutely loved every moment. So ready for Sofia and Killian.

The Friend Zone (Game On #2) by Kristen Callihan - @Kris10Callihan

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/23122175-the-friend-zone

To say that I was excited for this book to come out would be an understatement.

I loved The Hook Up so much that it literally put me into a major book hangover for days. I thought about Drew Baylor every day and wanted more. I was so intrigued by Grey because this guy was like just the fun one, the one who you’d think would never take anything seriously. Then there were glimpses in Drew and Anna’s story that made me think there is something there that I want to know more about.

So that brings me to The Friend Zone and it started with the sassiest and even sexiest friendly yet flirty banter via text message.

I thought yes this is so cute and funny and I just can’t wait for them to meet.
So the friendship started and immediately I fell in love with Grey and the main reason was that he never even thought to look or touch another girl once he started texting Ivy. Yep playboy was no longer playing. I adored their conversations and I was on the edge of my seat with the anticipation of when they’d confess their feelings. I was starting to get a little bit desperate and then YES

..friendship that really was the sweetest courting I’ve ever seen turned into a passionate love story and I was hooked. Grey was perfect, I loved him even when he would stick his foot in his mouth he still had my heart. This guy didn't have a very good example of how to love a woman but when he did it, he did it right.

There was only one downside to my whole reading experience and that the book took a turn that dealt with a major trigger of mine on a personal note and that did detract from my love more than I would have wanted. But all in all I enjoyed how it ended and can’t wait for more from Kristen. But until then I’m still claiming to be the #1BattleBaylorFan and Grey ..you really amazed me.

The 27 Club by Kim Karr @authorkimkarr

https://www.goodreads.com/book/photo/23195131-the-27-club

27 Club had me intrigued by the synopsis and since Kim Karr created one my favorite heroes River in Connected & Torn I was more than ready. She again stole my heart with Jagger and Xander. So going in I had high hopes for this story. I found mystery from the start then some pretty sad and emotional moments. Kim gives the reader true glimpses into the heart and soul where our feelings really are born. Zoey was a deeply troubled girl and throwing her into this storm of sadness added to that emotional overload.. and she was drowning. Nate was intense, brooding and well sexy. From their first interaction .. there was enough electricity to zap Zoey into feelings that pulled her from the abyss and had her trying to stay afloat feeling for once that her destiny didn't have to be so dark. These two dove into a summer affair that was sexy, romantic and passionate.

Nate was able to show Zoey what it meant to be adored, wanted and cared for and at the same time Zoey gave Nate an outlet for his intensity that brought them closer while climbing higher and higher in beautiful ecstasy ..at the same time falling head over heels in love. Angst and insecurities caused some bumps but Kim brought it all together just how it needed to be. I enjoyed this mysterious romance and will eagerly await the next hero..because I just love her mind.

Sucked Into Love (Bachelorette Party #1) by Rochelle Paige - @RochellePaige1

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/23155392-sucked-into-love

I've said it before and I'll say it again.. Rochelle Paige has quickly climbed to the the top of my favorite authors who write heroes that I adore and stories that steal my heart. I knew from the moment that Andrew saw Jocy (Jocelyn to him) that he was gonna be a favorite book boyfriend. For the guy who really never had a relationship and always just had fun,  this time it was different. He wanted her from the first site and was so upset she was "taken".

But not all is as it seems. One Fake bachelorette party started a passionate and heart felt journey that was fast paced but never lacking in the emotional growth. I felt that these two may have quickly given into the scorching chemistry but really did get to know each other in the most romantic ways. Andrew pulled out all the stops sweeping Jocy off her feet. I loved seeing the characters from the Blythe series and really enjoyed how low drama this read was. No aggravating misunderstandings or over the top angst. Just two amazing characters falling head over heels in love and some pretty sizzling hot ..slightly kinky..love scenes.

Andrew knew just what he wanted and Jocy felt free giving him that control. Sweet encounters and shocking surprises ..with one amazing epilogue and I was so happy..but alas..every time I close the book on a Rochelle Paige love story..I'm left singing.
