Freight Trained by Sarah Curtis @sarahcurtisathr

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/31117944-freight-trained

From the cover to the announcement that this book was coming I had one word. Wow. That's my first thought and again the last after I slowly regretfully closed my kindle.. When I finish a book and all I want to do is clutch my kindle close to my heart and sob.. Not from sadness but from sheer beauty. That's a true testament that an author has touched my soul. When the pages are savored. Slowly turned because every single page read is one more closer to the end. I have to stop occasionally because I know the end is coming. I'm selfish and I'm greedy. I don't want to finish it. Those books like this book are serious torpedoes into my heart. There must be some secret ingredient that's hidden on the pages that is like a sweet savory treat I don't want to share with anyone. Sarah has not only written a beautiful love story but she shined some light in my dark week. She's given me some laughter and some tears.

This author sneaks into your heart with her passionate words, life like characters, and happily ever afters you want to live in to experience the "after". Closing her book is like saying goodbye to a loved one. It's bittersweet and at the same time full of sentimental hope. You know she's got another one simmering in her heart and that's worth looking forward to.
Cole and Abby are one sweet couple who will always hold a place in my heart simply because the days I read this story were the days I needed that small piece of light. So thank you Sarah for shining.

Destry by Lola Stark

*Copy provided by author for honest review*
3.5  Sexy Stars
I love a hot sexy cowboy and Destry was sex on a horse and a fine one at that.

This was a quick and sexy read where a cowboy and a city girl find out that you can't run away from your past without repercussions.

Lots of sexual tension gave way to explosive encounters. I wish I'd have seen more conversations between the couple to be able to see the romance blossom. They had a lot of mental dialogue but I'd have really loved to see them talk more about their pasts and likes and dislikes.

But what we did get was a quick erotic read with a side of romance.
I'll have to stop at this book in the series though since it's going in a direction I do not read. All in all I am glad I got a little cowboy fix.

Broken by Kelly Elliot

 4 Sweet Sizzling Stars
5 Sizzling Hearts for Heat

I was excited to be able to sign up for this Blog tour as I loved Saved and Wanted by Kelly Elliot. I love New Adult books and I think that Kelly knows her way around writing stories with entertaining and engrossing plots where the story just flows and you find your self lost in the characters lives and journey, loving every moment of it.  I think this one was just another great read of Kelly's I loved the way the romance played out with Layton and Whitley. They wanted to hate each other but the chemistry between them was too strong.
Whitley was starting her life over after a very abusive past and Layton had been left by everybody that he had every loved. I loved how Layton opened up and showed his feelings without seeming less macho. He just made my heart melt with his memories of his brother and mom. The secondary characters brought a real depth to the story and I really wanted to jump in and shake a few of them. Lot's of drama, passion and amazing love scenes made this one enjoyable read. Can't wait to read Reed and Courtney's story.

4/5 Sizzling Stars

5/5 Sizzling Hearts for Heat!!

This is the 3rd book in the Cowboy Dreamin series by Sandy Sullivan.
Each book has really captivated me so far. I loved this story just as much as the first 2 books. It had a more serious edge to it. Lot's of moral and personal issues are dealt with and were even hard for me to read about. My kids are my life so as a mother and lover of life I had some difficulty with a few parts. But in the end Sandy wrapped up this sweet story just right.

The parts with all the family interacting and especially the differences in the 9 brothers personalities keeps me intrigued and anxious for the next.
Super hot love scenes and I want more of these awesome cowboys now!

Healing a Cowboy's Heart (Cowboy Dreamin #2) by Sandy Sullivan

Healing a Cowboy's Heart

4/5 Sizzling Stars
5/5 Sizzling Hearts for Heat!!

So I have to say I even loved this one more than the first. I guess because Jeff was so hurt and lonely and deserved someone to come in and ease all of that. I loved his interactions with his cute little son. I could just picture that cute little boy dressing and acting just like his dad. Terri wasn't as tough as Mesa but she did stand up for herself when it counted and also owned up to her mistakes. I really felt like she fell in love with Jeff's son Ben before she fell all the way for Jeff. The most romantic "gotta get my girl back moment" ever!

Another scorcher too! These cowboys are hot!
Now I'm diving into Jacob's story. For the Love of a Cowboy

I'm wondering what has made him turn to drinking and what lucky lady is gonna help pull him out.

Perilous Promises by Christi Williams

Perilous Promises

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Spoilers

While I loved the main plot of this story so much. A cancer survivor learning to accept the love and protection of her overbearing ex husband and him also learning to sometimes let her take care of herself. I was so frustrated with the heroines backtracking that I almost quit reading. He very very very early on in this book told her plain was day "I want to try again..I want us back" She 3 pages later says..what if he's married and doesn't want me anymore? ..Then hed tell her again how he wants to make things work and start over and she'd again say to herself that maybe she is not hearing him correctly or something. She would get mad if he wanted stay and then get mad once he left. She was a walking contradiction. When these two came together it was beautiful raw and real which really saved the story for me. There were other parts that bored me to tears..not at all the authors fault..I just found no interest in the in depth history of the birds/coal stuff. I found that parts of it were very interesting but then it would drag on with too much information that my brain shut down. I am glad I finished and saw them to their HEA and don't regret reading this at all. I appreciate the opportunity to review this book.
