I've been trying to work my way down my massive TBR list and kept eyeing this book for so long. I've heard so many great things about K.C. Lynn and I was so happy to dive into this sweet and sexy read last night.  I found myself so lost in the book that I was just flipping through the pages and  I could not put it down once I started.    I will have to admit that my housework has suffered today. I will say though that my heart has not. I am so thrilled to have found another amazing alpha book boyfriend to drool and swoon over. Jaxson is everything and then some. I loved him from the start. I thought Julia was feisty and so compassionate.     From the moment they first met  it was like they had saved each other from so many things. Then that first kiss..well it just started a fire.    Jaxson's past broke my heart and sometimes I wanted to shake some sense into him when he thought he wasn't good enough for Julia and then hug him and heal the hurt. But Julia stepped up along with an amazing cast of characters and they showed Jax that he had people who cared and would fight right by his side. The interactions between Jax and Julia cracked me several times. How she'd do just about anything to push his buttons and for all of his growling and bossiness he sure seemed to like the results of their little foreplay fights. For all of his gruffness on the outside he had the most passionate heart.  Julia saw in Jaxson the honorable man he was and she wouldn't give up on him. Her love for him was endless and I felt like she was so strong and put up with so much but never gave up.  Ms.Lynn knows her way around erotic love scenes and she made Jax into one hot dirty talker.   “Be a good girl Julia and go into the house before I lose control and fuck you right here on your driveway.”  When he spoke I paid attention. Of course where would the story go if there wasn't some crazy people out to tear this couple a part but nothing was predictable to me. I was riveted and then satisfied. Loved this hot and sweet story and I'm counting myself as new fan of this talented author. I know that I'll be skipping a few on my TBR list to make the next one a priority.   When Cade's book comes I'm dropping everything.

The One Awakened by Alexandra North - @alexnorthbooks

I love coming across new authors. I love refreshing new styles of writing and adore Friends to Lovers story lines. When I read the synopsis of  The One Awakened..the only two things that scared me going in were  1. It's a trilogy and  2. It's gonna have angst.  See I'm an big old fat angst CHICKEN   So.. I just prepared myself.  And I dove right in anyway.  I still wanted to see how this sexy story was going to play out.  I loved the teasers that were floating around and I just had this feeling about Sebastian Silver.   He's intense, sexy and bossy. Need I say more? So as I said, I dove right in.  Here is what I found. Alexandra North writes passionate scenes and tantalizing encounters with characters that beg you to pay attention. She is a master of  details. This is a very long book so there are many details but it wasn't boring. I believe I would have to describe this love story as a slow boil. Things had to move a certain pace to set build up.   Sebastian and Lucia met in a blaze of white hot attraction.    But well. Things didn't turn out the way they could have or should have and years go by. They are the best of friends, both leading lives separately but sharing everything as best friends could. Lucia is now single. ..that is what turns this story into something special. She now sees Sebastian again as more  (or let's say she finally accepts ) that Sebastian is more.  Then the Proposition of one night of pleasure.  Well things don't always go as we want them to and then story progresses with tons of push and pull and outside attacks...mystery and of course  But the amazing love story kept me rooting for them and I wanted to scream several times and especially shake Lucia but I couldn't stop reading.  Sexy love scenes, with scorching dialogue kept me riveted.   Sebastian knew how to cherish Lucia in the bedroom and went out of his way to    shower her with adoration outside of it too.    He helped her pull her inner vixen out and she reveled in his attention.   I hardly recognize the wanton woman staring back at me, flushed and brazen.        I really enjoyed their sexy times together and also the times they let their friendship shine through. Sebastian could be sexy and funny and sometimes both at the same time.  But it didn't take long for the friendship line to blur.       I want to fully believe when the drama hits that all is not what it seems. I do wish that Sebastian would open his mouth and speak when I need him to..because there was a moment there that I wanted to jack slap him badly..But well of course ..the book had to come to an end and I'll have to say that this was me...when it did. I hope that Ms. North can dry my tears in the next one. . I so want to give a full 5 stars to Sebastian. ..please make it so.

Bastian's Storm by Shay Savage @Savage7289

OH man I had been waiting for this book like crazy.    I wanted to know how Bastian was going to deal with the real world and also how Raine would deal with Bastian.  It didn't take long for Shay to give us the reality of how hard going back to civilization was on this couple. Raine actually adapted pretty quick but poor Bastian. My heart broke for him.    And a few times I wanted to break his face.    But I kept telling myself to cut him some slack as he's really been in a drunken slumber for years then an island after that so it's like hes learning to deal with this all over again. The one thing that didn't change was Bastian's love for Raine. This guy might be a hard ass but Raine was it for him and I loved how he wanted to take care of her and protect her.     I wanted to hold her so tightly that she could never get away from me.  I wanted to possess her completely and know that she was mine and mine alone.   Outside forces come into the story and Bastian has to make  some really hard choices. It's life or death this time and Bastian is determined to be there for Raine.  He's not going to give up and  he's got so much more to live for now.  Bastian does some real soul searching and it's not easy but the total truth is that he needs Raine and she needs him .. I loved how Raine forgave and stood by Bastian when most women would have bailed. She is one of the strongest female characters I've ever read about. I can't say enough about how intense and emotional this couple were and how special they are to me.   There were moments in this book where I was on the edge of my seat literally and couldn't take a breath as I felt I was in an adult version of the Hunger games at times. But Bastian Stark wasn't going to give up and he amazed me with this strength.    Bastian and Evan were tough and very close to equal and the way every thing turned out was EPIC   Action, suspense and some amazing and beautiful love scenes kept me enthralled from page one.. Loved it and am hooked on Shay!

Surviving Raine by Shay Savage - @Savage7289

Date Read February 2014 I can only start off this review by saying I don't know what possessed me to wait so freaking long to read this amazing story. Shay Savage has a magic way of writing the male POV. I don't know what her secret is but whatever it is I hope she never stops.  This story sucked me in from the very first page and I devoured it. I was a child of the 8o's so one of my favorite movies was  The Blue Lagoon.  Something about two strangers having to survive alone on an island and then not only have to become friends but fall in love. Wow such a freaking intense story line.  But there wasn't two innocent sweet kids in this book. NO ..first of all ..they didn't land directly on this beautiful island..no they spend days and days in a life raft on the ocean.. Let's say again INTENSE. Bastian Stark is a hard-assed bitter and let's face it mean as hell drunk. He's had a pretty crappy life and he's mad at the world. Raine is grieving. Her father has been murdered and she's trying to find some peace and calm in her turbulent life.  When you are stranded together you have to accept some things and that is that they eventually had to open up and talk and it wasn't all easy. Bastian went into alcohol withdrawals immediately and this was what made me love Raine to death. She took care of Bastian and I just loved her strength. Now Bastian he had his dirty thoughts right from the beginning and I don't know why but that just made me like him even more.  Toss her overboard or stick my tongue down her throat?  I couldn’t decide and it fucking ticked me off.   This story had so many amazing parts that I could go on and on but what I loved most as I am a romantic sap is that Bastian couldn't fight what was in front of him..he fell for Raine and he fell hard.   When I connected with Raine physically, I could feel every bit of her soul within my own. I loved every moment and yes even when Bastian was a big old jerk I still loved him. For all his emotion..he had the biggest heart and his love for Raine was simply extraordinary.  Bastian and Raine had to over come so many obstacles but their biggest obstacle was to come. Real life. back in the real world. .I can't wait to find out how they deal and I just know Shay has to give us an HEA.. These two totally deserve it.
