Most Valuable Playboy by Lauren Blakely @LaurenBlakely3

Once again Lauren Blakely has given my romantic soul a love story filled with heart, humor and heat. Friends to lovers stories always make me nervous but Lauren is the master of avoiding disaster in this type of plot. She weaves a believable story about a friendship that blossoms into love and passion without the drama of someone sitting on the sidelines moping about unrequited feelings. No Lauren gives you a story that brings you right there to the moment, falling with the characters, while they fall,  you fall too. Violet and Cooper took the passion of newly discovered feelings to a whole different level. They uncovered their hidden passion and set it to burn. There's something about the perfect balance of humor that really sets this author's books apart from others out there. She gives you just enough seriousness but keeps it light and flirty. I can't wait to see where this series will go. I thoroughly enjoyed every page of this flirty romance.

Paths (The Killers #2) by Brynne Asher

Grady had me wanting his story like crazy in Vines,  book 1 of this amazing series.  I have a soft spot for damaged heroes who need the love of a good woman and a place to call home.

Then add to this my other favorite element,  a heroine running from her past needing a hero. While there is a delicate balance between needing the love of a good man and at the same time being strong enough to survive and make it on your own , Brynne made it look simple.

Maya immediately showed mystery and strength.  No damsel shaking and weak  kneed.  She exuded confidence and just plain smarts.  She's super funny at times too.

I love the medical field as it's my life's work so the addition of that side of the story really spoke to my heart.  I work closely with an assisted living facility and these people become close like family to those care takers in their lives. This includes medical professionals who take care of them.  I have to say I laughed so hard and was just so entertained with all of the characters.

Grady proved all my thoughts correct.  He was strong, loyal  faithful and brave. His past shaped him into something fierce and protective but he was already an amazing brother and guardian from the start.

Maya came into his life at a critical time not only for him but for herself.
Everything I love and everything I need in my romance was found in the pages of this epic read.

Seriously Grady and Maya are simply my kind of love story.

Now I'm back to being greedy wanting Asa NOW.

Worth the Wait (McKinney/Walker, #1) by Claudia Connor @Claudia__Connor

Claudia took my heart for a very emotional ride in this second chance story. I simply lost myself and my heart from pag one.   I have a hard time with second chance romance because usually there is a lot of drama that can make me lose respect for the couple.

This couple had life kick repeatedly and the way they handled it was really as humanly as can be expected.  They both made mistakes, both acted rashly in the past but Claudia have me true depth of remorse, sadness, hope, and faith.  She rebuilt them from the ashes of their past and into something stronger and steady.  I haven't cried for a heroine since Hannah and it's ironic she had such a huge presence in this story.  Mia had so much pain and heartache that I found myself sobbing so many times.  While Nick lost himself in his job and raising his siblings, living in guilt, Mia tried to live and love in the only way she could.  Her nurturing heart was broken again and in a way only a Mother could understand.  She's truly a character who will always be in my heart.  Nick had an uphill battle to reclaim his life, love and family but he claimed it like a true hero.
I'll say that only the separation and small details during it regarding their intimate past and lack of equality were the only negative aspects of this story but even including them added a humanity that made if believable.  Yes we want the fairytale but sometimes adding a few bumps just keeps it real.  Nick wasn't perfect and he knew it.  But his love when he had a second chance was a love that you just knew was worth the wait.  Truly an epic read all the way through.

Long Drive by Jessica Florence @Florence_Jess

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/32804763-long-drive

This author is absolutely going to be on my 2017 #Stalking schedule. I really enjoyed this hostile acquaintance to friends to lover's story. Totally other woman drama free and full of sexy times that had me fanning myself.

But note than that it had one hero , Killian, who was by far amazing and loyal and simply perfect for Livia our heroine. These two had sparks that you felt even when he was so surly. It's like you could read through that animosity right to the heart of what he truly felt and that was deep and soul stirring want. But not just physical. No it was way beyond skin deep.

These two were funny , silly and sexy. I adored everything. The only downside was a missing part in their HEA ..but since we'll see more of them hopefully in Joel's story I'll hold out for my dream to come true. Please Jessica give me.. please.

Hard Rules (Dirty Money #1) by Lisa Renee Jones @LisaReneeJones

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/26199231-hard-rules

Hard Rules started this series off with a scorching and passionate beginning. I completely found myself seduced by the characters and completely captivated by the background mystery going on. Lisa created a cast of characters that were unique and filled with vibrant life. I always find myself swept away by my heroes and Shane definitely gave me everything I want in a leading male. He oozed sensual power and he had an aura of authority.

I felt he had that vulnerable layer when dealing with Emily that showed he had a heart within that stone cold facade he portrayed for everyone else.

Emily was shrouded in suspenseful mystery. Her story is barely addressed yet I felt her character was honest..just afraid. So many secrets and so many enemies that no matter where you look someone is there testing their trust.

I was holding onto my kindle with a death grip at the end. I'm anxiously awaiting the next installment because Lisa you have really jerked the rug out from underneath me with that ending. Some cliffhangers are painful and some are so explosive they just leave you breathless. This one was both and it hurt so good
