I dive into an Alexa Riley with my heart already open like a sponge.    Ready to absorb all the goodness inside. I know I'll get an Alpha and I'll get some passion that will heat up my pages. The things that I always love about Alexa Riley stories are that the hero is so freaking possessive and he knows what he wants from the start. Well I know that authors can't write the same cookie cutter story each time and to stay fresh and relevant they have to change things up now and then...and every story must stand on it's own and be unique . The characters must have individual identities and also stand on their own too. So I will say that even though this wasn't my favorite of AR books, I did like it a lot. This new series has way more angst than previous books. I do realize they are going for the old school HQ type feel. So I know that lovers of that type of angst will be in heaven. My problem is I am so freaking spoiled..and it's this author duo's fault totally.    I am used to the hero chasing and not wasting time..nope not months down the road.. I'm not used to painful words and such long time apart.   I'll admit it's ME and I'm the SAP. I am spoiled to sweet and possessive. So ..yea    So after a not too great introduction to this hero I kept going and knew that they'd pull him around. I felt a lot of the same feelings the heroine had. I wanted to shake him when Calder uttered the words "That's over now"    because to me that was just WRONG and misleading and led Felicity to think things that only caused her more pain. Then Felicity drove me bonkers when she let him touch her right away after so long apart. But then Calder goes and starts doing SWEET and SEXY things    I found myself falling for him too.  I felt like I'm betraying myself because he had me so mad to begin with. But I started thinking..This author team is really magic at taking our emotions for a big roller coaster ride..the ups and downs are swift and thrilling. But most of all they always have a SOFT LANDING.   One plus side is I absolutely loved MARK and want his story. Any guy who would stand up for his friend like that..well he's a real MAN for sure. I might have started frowning and mad..but I did end up Swooning & Satisfied. Wonderful Epilogue!!  4 Stars..can't wait for more.

Until Death do We Part was full of everything I love in my romances but added to that there was some action packed suspense scenes that had my heart racing. Alex and Evie connected truly from first sight and their love story zoomed into their happy ever after.. But then what? Two people devoted, deeply in love and both keeping secrets. What I loved was when things blew up.. Their love only solidified. No break ups, huge fights or pushing away. No this dynamic duo wasn't letting anything tear them apart. I loved every moment. There was definitely more depth and action..    Sweetness and devotion too. Seriously this author team can really create tales that suck you in and the hours fly by. Black by Aria Cole is a promising start by a debut author that promises sweet sexy and safe romances.    Maxwell is the quintessential beastly, gruff and bossy hero of our story . This guy had layer after layer of sweet, to dirty to outright Jerk. Those are the guys I seem to love to hate and hate to love but like Maxwell's moods going back and forth my love for him seesawed too.  The heroine, Elle was a confusing mess of innocent and snarky. One moment she's fearful and unsure, the next a siren calling the shots. For some reason this worked and I was engaged the whole way through. I hope that in future books Aria will have less angst and push pull from her hero. Maxwell walked a fine line between beast and hero. But then again.. He never claimed to be anything but. I'd have to say my favorite was the sizzling passionate love scenes. These two were electric.   My only complaint was this really wasn't what I'd call instalove because Maxwell pulled away too often and too much. He did give good grovel so that's a plus.  Great start and I'm looking forward to more. I absolutely love that this was a 100% Safe read and zero other woman/men drama.  I secretly pray for a hero who knows immediately what he wants and never wavers. They say good things come to those that wait. Well it seems like I've been waiting forever and a day for Neil's story. I am so blown away at the layers Freya created for this amazing character. Heroes will come and go but when one like this guy finds a place in your heart you'll never forget. He's a good friend, we've all seen that from book one. But the youngest guy, well he turned out to be the most amazing hero.    Kendra had a very small minded outlook towards Neil and thankfully this brave strong and loyal man didn't give up. He loved her for a long time.. He never even thought about looking elsewhere. Staying loyal and true, even when Kendra at times made it hard to do. Kendra opened up Pandora box and the suspense in this book was over the top.    Seriously women need to be careful online these days. It might be fiction but there is some crazy evil people out there. Neil and the GFI guys stepped up with some newer interesting characters and thankfully the good won over the evil.  “Happy?” he asks, his lips following the path of his finger, lightly kissing the inside of my leg. “Blissfully. You?” “Sweetheart, I was happy from the first time I got to taste your lips and you went from a distant dream to a perfect reality. I had a head start.”  Their Love might have started as a dream or fantasy for Neil but the reality was heaven and they both latched on with their whole heart. Sexy times filled with beautiful emotion had this story brimming with all the feels.       Add in one heroic and amazing dog.. And I was absolutely in love. Freya thanks.
