Really and truly loved everything about this sexy and sweet and altogether authentic Aurora Rose Reynolds romance. This is the type of story I look high and low for. Dillon was absolutely all the way in from day one. I adored their dialogue whether sassy, bossy, in between or just deeply emotional. All of it was full of passion. Not just sexual but heartfelt passion. oh and wow I have to say I laughed till my husband thought I was having some sort of episode and I blame it on Leo   Now oh boy Sage ..I need you now. Oh my heavenly hero .. what sweet sexy creative juices must've helped this author when she gave life to Rhett . What an adorable , sweet sexy man. What started out as a one sided crush in his childhood later became the love story that we all hope for. While this doesn't fit our safety standards of nobody after meeting ,you absolutely can not blame either character because he was 13 and she was 18. She left him after patiently guiding him to move on. She felt absolutely zero romantic feelings for him because face it that would have been gross at his age. Fast forward ten years and oh sexy Rhett is all man. Just one kiss that took its sweet time was more erotic than a lot of sexy books out there. The build up of a decade. The want on each part. Oh my. This couple stole my heart . I'm so in love with this absolutely endearing small town and its larger than life characters. The low angst and the loyal love is so heartwarming. I love small town romances and especially those that are "low on  drama". The "high on love" part was the most important to me in a romance. These two characters stole my heart and I was so invested I didn't want to put the book down and that really says a lot. I didn't like that Hannah was called Mutt. It was so very ugly. I hated it. But I understand that for the most part the town and her family didn't mean it in a derogatory way. It was just a nick name and unfortunately I think it gave Hannah a complex to be honest. She seemed to try to use that name as an excuse to keep herself distance. Vaughn had his own angsty past but it didn't at all stop him from wanting love again. I really enjoyed that this was slow burn because it really had the characters grow on me and I felt them actually falling in love.  That's a sweet and emotional ingredient I simply can't wait for more and hope this author continues to give us  "safe and sweet"  stories.

This story touched my heart in ways it is so hard to put into words. The fear I felt for my son when he was deployed to Afghanistan was brought back in full technicolor. Thomas McHugh our hero in this story and in real life. A love story to bring to life and give love and peace to someone who should never be forgotten. Fallen our heroine was truly strength personified. She had so much to deal with or her young shoulders. Supporting her brother, protecting their home and each other from an alcoholic mother. This girl was so strong and so brave. This was a story that had so much mystery that every page held a new surprise and I must've had my mouth hanging open for nearly all of the book.    If I wasn't in shock, I was terrified or swooning. Yes from one extreme emotion to another I felt deeply through every single page. This was the sweetest most passionate love story you'd ever want to read and I sighed with so much emotion when I closed my kindle.    Don't forget that every day you wake in a free world, that someone died to make it so.
