The Queen and the Cure (The Bird and the Sword Chronicles #2) by Amy Harmon @aharmon_author

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/34356650-the-queen-and-the-cure

When I heard about this story coming out I was ecstatic. Coming back to Jeru felt like the anticipation of a family reunion. I knew we'd be able to see all the characters I grew to love in The Bird and the Sword.
I had so much curious longing for Kjell's story and was totally not expecting where Amy took it.
I read certain authors blind. I don't try to find out info on this short list of authors like I do normally. I avoid so many elements that go against my beliefs that I usually have to know ahead of time. I am glad I didn't ask here. If I'd have known where it would take me. How it would break me , hurt me, and then finally heal me, I might have not read it. I don't think there's a way to accurately describe the pure emotional upheaval without spoiling the whole story.
I did come to a realization. Love hurts.
There isn't always black and white. There's so many shades in between. There's not always a right or wrong answer.

Kjell's loyalty and bravery will always be something I think about when someone's needing a true hero.

He's the perfect example of what it means to love with sacrifice. His heart was no match for the power of Sasha's love and devotion.

This slave woman, this red-haired paragon of virtue and long-suffering, would be his undoing, and it would not be a sweet unraveling.

Sasha had the toughest road to travel and a heartbreaking loyalty to all that she loves. Sometimes we have to break our own hearts and Sasha truly had to live through unbearable consequences.
While there was times I didn't think I'd survive this story I couldn't put it down. That's where my trust for Amy came into play. I trust her to always put my heart back together and even though it's in pieces, barely put together, it's at least still beating. I trusted Amy and she came through. She proved that there isn't always the perfect answer but there is perfect love and perfect mercy. Because it hurts doesn't mean it's not beautiful.

If you read this story. Don't ask for spoilers. Just challenge yourself and experience it blind. You don't know your own strength until you do.

For All the Evers by Debra Anastasia @Debra_Anastasia

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/31875658-for-all-the-evers

This story touched my heart in ways it is so hard to put into words. The fear I felt for my son when he was deployed to Afghanistan was brought back in full technicolor. Thomas McHugh our hero in this story and in real life. A love story to bring to life and give love and peace to someone who should never be forgotten. Fallen our heroine was truly strength personified. She had so much to deal with or her young shoulders. Supporting her brother, protecting their home and each other from an alcoholic mother. This girl was so strong and so brave.
This was a story that had so much mystery that every page held a new surprise and I must've had my mouth hanging open for nearly all of the book.

If I wasn't in shock, I was terrified or swooning. Yes from one extreme emotion to another I felt deeply through every single page.

This was the sweetest most passionate love story you'd ever want to read and I sighed with so much emotion when I closed my kindle.

Don't forget that every day you wake in a free world, that someone died to make it so. Thank you Thomas. Thank you every single Fallen Hero.. Always.

The Bird and the Sword by Amy Harmon @aharmon_author

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/29008738-the-bird-and-the-sword

We are taught at a young age that there is power in the word . . Healing, pain and grace all in the words from our lips . We can condemn, we can forgive. We can praise and we can destroy.

All with letters strung together.. Forming powerful weapons that can harm and extraordinary tools that can heal the deepest wounds on the soul.

Imagine no words.. The very thing we need to communicate taken from you. But more than that it's forbidden. For your own safety and those around you.

Swallow, daughter, pull them in, those words that sit upon your lips. Lock them deep inside your soul, hide them ‘til they’ve time to grow. Close your mouth upon the power, curse not, cure not, ‘til the hour. You won’t speak and you won’t tell, you won’t call on heaven or hell. You will learn and you will thrive. Silence, daughter. Stay alive.
*The Bird and The Sword by Amy Harmon*

Lark started life in a troubling time where the gifted were condemned and her mother struck down for that reason.
We follow Lark on a journey into not only her destiny but a road that brought great change to the world. That fateful day that Lark lost her words.. She met a boy. Tiras, destined to one day rule.  Little did she know that some words lived on. Grew and changed and effected their lives in inexplicable ways.
That's all of the plot I'll give away. I don't think it would do any reader justice to know anything else beforehand because this story is just too beautiful and too terrifyingly intense to not go in blindly.
You'll experience some things I do want you prepared for. Friendships that Transcend blood, time, and circumstances. Evil that will break your heart.
This was a love story that will permanently mark that same heart forever.

Tiras and Lark are what romance is really meant to be.

A love story that isn't perfect, but broken into pieces that one day find their way back into something more..
Passion like this is something I long for in my stories and that is why Amy Harmon is always going to be my #1AutoReadAuthor.

The Shucker's Booktique by J.C. McKenzie - @JC_McKenzie

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/23326875-the-shucker-s-booktique

I was sucked into this fantasy romance from the first page. I loved the mystery and the connection between the hero Lon and the heroine Willa. From the moment the sexy and wet from head to toe Lon knocked on Willa’s door at 3am she was enthralled by his masculine and mysterious presence. I admit I was pretty smitten right along with her. I really thought that Willa’s internal dialogue was something else. She cracked me up so many times. With the mystery of her Aunt Jenny’s disappearance being the reason she is in Lobster Cove and at her aunt’s bookstore, she is immediately wondering if Lon has any connection to this situation. But her attraction sort of gets in the way of her curiosity.
Maybe this guy had the answers she sought.
Maybe she could kiss them out of him

This was pretty funny and not the only time that Willa found herself fighting the attraction. Lon feels a deep sense of belonging to Willa and he wants her to reach out to him so badly. He had a hard time fighting his powerful attraction to her also.

Her ex comes in and he’s a jerk of epic proportions. Lon is bound to his secret life and I was really worried for a while there that things were out of their control. But Lon comes through like the perfect hero he is and this was one sexy and romantic fantasy romance that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Transcendence by Shay Savage

I can't even figure out how I can express all the beautiful emotions that are trapped inside of me. I don't want to let them all out because I want this feeling to stay with me longer. I've never read a love story so profound before.. I've read hundreds of books. Probably close to a thousand by now. I just can't describe the sheer and utter innocence of this love story. It's like I got to witness something that grew and progressed into simply perfection.

The language barriers that normally would be distracting just actually made the love story seem more real. These two people fell in love with the real person inside , now bells or whistles. They shared such beauty and such intense emotional and physical encounters that I was left with tears running down my face so many times because I couldn't keep the profound feelings bottled up. Gosh the laughter that bubbled out of me had my kids thinking I was drinking. One moment I am giggling and then next I am in tears.
I'm a freaking MESS

I have more parts highlighted in my Kindle than any other book I've ever read.

Sheer Sizzling Brilliance

Shay Savage had to have felt like she gave part of her soul when she finished writing this book.
There is no way that all of that passion didn't leave an indelible mark on her soul. I for one am changed and it's going to be hard to ever find a book that will surpass or even come close to touching how I feel about this book. It's like nothing I've ever read before. I can't even compare it to anything. Because it's such a unique plot and even the writing style was different than any other book I've ever come across. Part of me is heart broken because I know that it's over. I feel almost like I left something behind. The title is the utter truth.

 "Beh Loves Ehd"

A love story that Transcends ...in every single way.
