Innocent Target (Redemption Harbor #4) by Katie Reus

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/38477807-innocent-target

There's just something pure, something right and something refreshing about Katie Reus and her stories. What draws me to this
author is simply the trustworthiness of her characters. I am one who reads for an escape to feel deeply. I don't want to be bogged down by unnecessary drama . Katie gives you suspense, passion, romance and above all loyalty. You believe in her heroes and you feel protective of her couples. I just love her.

Innocent Target sucked me in from the first page. Axel seemed like a guy who walked a fine line between right and wrong and yet once you pulled back his layers you see him as the hero he truly is. Hadley recently became a full fledged member of a family and crew of people that would lay down their lives or take one in a heartbeat if someone or someone threatened her or one they loved.
This redemption harbor crew is the epitome of what family should be.

These men for sure protect and love their women like I search for in my romance. Axel fit right in and stole my heart like Hadley stole his.
This was a fantastic installment into a favorite series of mine. Loyal and protective heroes are my weakness. Katie always gives me that and a riveting plot.

Game Changer (New York Kings #1) by Collette West @Collette_West

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/22464513-game-changer

I really enjoyed this sweet romance. For me though this was a first that I enjoyed the sports aspects and game play as much as the love story. There was a very enthusiastic and energetic feel to the dynamics of the team relationship and actual game play. I found myself enjoying baseball. Brooks and Sasha were so sweet together. I adore best friends sister romances especially when the hero won't give up. Brooks couldn't get Sasha off his mind from a year ago and he stole my heart when I found out he'd not even thought of another girl after their innocent yet memorable night. These two had to fight through a lot of obstacles to find their HEA. I rooted for them the whole way but more than that I wanted Sasha to get her brother Kyle back in his spot healthy and whole. The camaraderie was heartwarming and other characters really drew my attention. Even though the steam in the book was on the low side the story held my attention and that is most important.
4 stars all the way and out of the park.

Stars in Their Eyes (Wrapped Up in Love #2) by Lauren Blakely @LaurenBlakely3

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/21447131-stars-in-their-eyes

Lauren Blakely is a true romantic and her stories are deeply rooted with everything that spells Love Story. From interesting characters and suspenseful plots, she simply catches my attention with every word on the page. I usually read only heroes of the Alpha male variety. But Lauren is my go to girl now for sweet romantic and sexy perfect boyfriends.
William was adorable and hot. When he spoke I had to pay attention because everything he said truly was full of heart felt meaning. From the way he never once tried to fight his feelings for Jess knowing their time could be limited. . just solidified my intense like of this guy. The banter cracked me up so many times and the passion was just so lovely. Low on the angst and unrealistic drama this was just a feel good and simply put beautiful romance.
A story of young love. . that turned into forever love layered in hope, faith and beauty throughout. Pure romance is exactly what you find whether Lauren is writing about bossy alpha males or sweet and sexy adorable heroes. Just perfect every time.

Vipers Den: Part Two Pixie & Jake (Vipers Den #2) by J B Heller

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/23501270-vipers-den

Well this series is really becoming a favorite of mine.

Pixie totally made me smile in book one and I wanted her story from the moment I closed it. I knew that Jake was there to sweep her off her feet and make up for all the years lost. I wasn’t let down in any way. Jake was so perfect and I loved how they were together. The way these two broken hearted souls were torn apart really broke my heart. How they came together like the missing pieces of a puzzle put my heart right back together again.

Some hot times and some sweet times definitely kept me flipping the pages and I read this in one sitting.

I did feel that the Asa issue was taken a little too far but in the end J.B wrapped it up in the right way. This was a sexy and sweet and also emotional at times second chance love story that would please the hardest of romantic hearts. 4 solid stars for sure. Not to mention ..Jake totally earned the Perfect Alpha Award .

Stirring up Trouble by Kimberly Kincaid - @KimberlyKincaid

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/21842929-stirring-up-trouble

Kimberly Kincaid has become a favorite of mine for when I’m in need of a sweet and sexy romance where I find myself smiling throughout.

Sloane was introduced in the previous installment and I immediately wanted her love story. She just seemed like a vibrant and witty lady who took life by the steering wheel and put her foot to the petal and said “watch out world here I come”. But in all of that energy there was also a romantic who could sweep her readers away in her romance novels but hadn’t had her feet lifted off the ground yet by any man.She was yearning for that "O" in Love and wanted it to be as big as the ones in her novels. Although Sloane didn't think that settling down was in the cards for her she still couldn't fight the attraction of one serious sexy as sin Gavin.

Gavin was submerged in all the details of the painful and devastating death of his mother. What was left behind wasn’t only settling of her estate or normal things but a broken 13 yr old sister Bree. Gavin was doing the best a person could do thrown into this situation. The chips were stacked against this brave man because he’s dealing with not only being a sudden parent but working full time at a busy restaurant and also his sister is in the “hormonal teenage years” along with the grieving of the only parent she had.

Gavin and Sloane were adorable together. It’s like they could see inside each other the real person that wanted out. Sloane was used to being labeled the fly by the seat of her pants girl and Gavin was Mr. Serious.
Together she saw herself as responsible and caring in Gavins eyes and Gavin learned how to loosen up and have a little fun.

There were some pretty sexy
times between the sheets and against many other surfaces. "wink"
I'm not sure I've ever read about drinking wine in a sexier way and I'm still thinking about it.

There was some misunderstandings that caused a blip in this sweet love story but Sloane and Gavin belonged together with Bree by their side.
I rooted for them the whole way and loved how it all came together.  Kimberly Kincaid made me cry some sappy and happy tears several times and I am so glad I got lost in this book.

Unforeseen Obsessions by Valerie J. Clarizio - @VClarizio

This was truly a very mysterious and action filled romantic suspense. But it had quite a few swoon worthy sweet elements in a a very touching love story. I have a very, very delicate balance with my love/hate relationship when it comes to romances where the heroine or hero has lost their first love. It has to be handled in a way that I don’t feel like the new person has just come in at second best. Alex’s story broke my heart and I wanted her to have someone to help her heal so badly. Peter was that perfect sweet and protective hero for her. He was a true gentleman and he adored her and even the fact that her lost husband was his best friend just really in the grand scheme of things made him love her more.

What better way to honor a person they both loved so much but to heal each other and find happiness in the ashes of pain.  This love story was handled perfectly and I adored the characters. There was some high sexual tension and sexy times,

with  some pretty emotional times too.

As much as his body ached for her, his heart ached for her more.

The mystery kept me guessing and I had a few

Moments.
The conclusion completely and totally made my heart swoon and rejoice and I was so pleased.
I recommend this read to any romantic suspense junkie out there.
