Within Temptation by Tonya Holmes

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/20427806-within-temptation

Oh wow and super hell wow, I loved this book. Like I was trying to walk and read and was pissed I had to leave for work and nearly tripped over the dog to get out of the door to get in my car because my face was stuck in my Kindle. Yea, So do you get that I loved this freaking book? Before FSOG I read mostly suspense (John Grisham) and Young Adult dystopian and fantasy. Then FSOG added a little spice to my reading taste (OK  A LOT) and I haven't looked back. But the one thing that remains the same is that I love Suspense and Mystery. So when you get a big juicy mystery and add in an EPIC love story with some sizzling scenes. SIGN ME THE HELL UP!!
Loved it so much.
So many highlighted parts in my Kindle. From when they first connect again after so many years and Shannon has a realization that cracked me up.

Dear God, had I become like those wretched women who got
turned on by bad boys with blood-splattered pasts?
Yea ..kinda funny.
Trace was freaking fantastic. I loved how arrogant but real he was. He didn't lie , he told you like it was and tough if you didn't like it. His reaction to Shannon thrilled me. I loved how he wanted her and couldn't fight it..
When they join in the most fantastic and passionate scenes, I honestly can say it's as if I felt their love.

So many layers of lies, betrayal and heartache. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.
Even issues that I have a problem with in other books were dealt with in a way I couldn't fault and I was so freaking happy with how this book ended and I want the next book now!! So I won't even say anything because I want you ..whomever you are out there that hasn't read this book to experience the shock and awe I felt at the ending. So totally can't wait Tonya Holmes. Operation Stalking Author commences now! <3 <3 <3

I waited so long to read this book, I think deep in my heart knowing that it would gut me. So many personal reasons behind how much this book affected me. I just can't put into words how beautiful this love story is.

What an amazing journey between two broken souls who have such similarities to their inner scars. How they come together in a healing way and it really just took away my breath. I am definitely going to be finishing this series. I loved the amazing secondary characters and thought everyone of them was brought to life in a way like no other book I've ever read.
I am happy to finally had the time to move this up and in a lot of ways I'm very pleased that I held off so because if I'd have had to wait after that cliffhanger I'd have nearly fainted from frustration.

Ok so this series is like a train wreck. Part of me wants to stop and say to hell with it. But then I can't put it down because I have to know what the hell is going to happen.
Rook is very irritating at times. People who know me know that it takes me a lot to find fault in my characters. I just am a big push over a lot of times. But Rook she goes back and forth a lot with her thoughts. I am also a black and white type romance reader. I don't like triangles and I really love it when the people know who they want and don't feel stuff for other people. Ronin has been steadfast throughout. He loves this girl with everything in him. Rook..she's come from such a bad history that maybe that is the reason but she is so freaking wishy-washey (*sp* may be off but it's my freaking word today) I want these 2 to get their shit together. Sometimes I don't think she deserves Ronin but then again I do get irritated at him when he runs to Claire but I know his POV always lets the reader know he's truly committed to Rook. The problem lies that Rook doesn't get his POV. So therefore she always gets hurt. So I am on to book 3 and very glad I can finally put this story to rest. I need a HEA and I hope I get one.

Ford (something about this buy bothers me badly

Spencer ( I think he is probably as hot as Charlie on SOA)

I want a Spencer HEA too

Ok ..on to PANIC

Rating 4 of 5 Sizzling Stars because it kept me enthralled and even when I wanted to scream I couldn't stop reading.

Sizzle Factor: 3.5/5
Sorry but this book could have been so much hotter. Ronin is absent for a lot of it and I missed him :(
