This series has quickly become a major favorite of mine. Both the prequel Night’s With Her and the full length novel Night’s with Him was the steamiest installments that I’ve read of Lauren Blakely's to date.  This was 911 call the fire alarm hot.  While the blazing love scenes were fogging up my Kindle, there was a beautiful love story that was slowly simmering. The sexual attraction  that brought this explosive couple together went from simply a physical arrangement  to something that turned into a rolling boil of passion,  emotionally, physically  and erotically beautiful.   Jack and Michelle had me thinking out loud at times. I kept thinking that this isn’t going to work. Michelle, watch your heart! Jack, don’t lead her on! But I couldn’t stop reading. I wanted to believe in Jack and I wanted to root for Michelle. I found that sometimes words aren’t needed if the actions of love are shown in every way (Jack)  ..but that sometimes they are needed especially when you’ve never heard them (Michelle) and also when you’ve never even felt true love to recognize it (Jack again) . So I had to buckle up and hang on for one ride that at times felt like a train about to jump off the tracks. I was really nervous. But...  I trust Lauren because she never lets me down. I knew that somehow some way these characters would wake up and take notice. Michelle by far is my favorite heroine of Lauren’s. She is brave, she is bold and she is 100% honest. She never lied to Jack and she never held back. To her detriment at times I felt like this was going to break her own heart. But Jack, he needed this boldness and this bravery. Michelle was a true heroine and it as refreshing to find a romance that had a strong alpha male but that his leading lady was the one to really save the day. Her love, her honesty and her passion showed Jack ..that nights with her ..could be a life for them. Another winner, another favorite and again I’m left in awe.

Full Contact (Worth the Fight, #2) Halston, Sidney - @SidneyHalston

I adored Jack and Chrissy in the first installment of Sidney Halston’s WtF series. I was in stitches of laughter over the crazy dog Drogo and I was also head over heels in book boyfriend love over Jack Daniels. But the one person who really peaked my interest was Slade. He was the quintessential bad boy that had girls following him around nipping at his heels wanting just a moment of his sexy time. But this one sweet girl had him in a fit..because she said no to going on a date with him. Little did this girl Jessica nor Slade know that her failure to fall at his feet would change their lives forever.  I was enamored with how this couple became friends first. Even though Slade didn’t hide what he wanted.. it was refreshing and sweet to see them grow closer and they were really funny together too. Of course the road to their HEA had to have some bumps and I was really wanting to shake Jessica a time or two because of how she handled things. Both of them really did some things that didn’t sit well with  me but in the end all things worked out how they should. This was a sexy and sweet and funny as hell at times story and I’m glad I hung on for the ride. Sidney has set in place several more romantic connections with this crazy cast of characters and right now I am wanting Cain’s story so freaking bad!! So counting the days has begun.

The Shucker's Booktique by J.C. McKenzie - @JC_McKenzie

I was sucked into this fantasy romance from the first page. I loved the mystery and the connection between the hero Lon and the heroine Willa. From the moment the sexy and wet from head to toe Lon knocked on Willa’s door at 3am she was enthralled by his masculine and mysterious presence. I admit I was pretty smitten right along with her. I really thought that Willa’s internal dialogue was something else. She cracked me up so many times. With the mystery of her Aunt Jenny’s disappearance being the reason she is in Lobster Cove and at her aunt’s bookstore, she is immediately wondering if Lon has any connection to this situation. But her attraction sort of gets in the way of her curiosity. Maybe this guy had the answers she sought.  Maybe she could kiss them out of him This was pretty funny and not the only time that Willa found herself fighting the attraction. Lon feels a deep sense of belonging to Willa and he wants her to reach out to him so badly. He had a hard time fighting his powerful attraction to her also.  Her ex comes in and he’s a jerk of epic proportions. Lon is bound to his secret life and I was really worried for a while there that things were out of their control. But Lon comes through like the perfect hero he is and this was one sexy and romantic fantasy romance that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Pretty Wicked by Georgia Le Carre - @GeorgiaLeCarre

Oh my girl Georgia just knows what to give me to make me happy. Every single time she puts a smile on my face. When I start a romance by Georgia Le Carre, I know that she isn’t going to give me rainbows and butterflies. She’s gonna give me a love story that has layers. Those layers are sometimes painful as they are beautiful. I adore how she seamlessly goes from angst to beauty and back again. But most of all I adore her heroes. They are flawed but yet they are amazingly real in their brokenness. I always find myself forgiving her heroes in ways I normally can’t. Probably because they always fall so hard.    What we have in this short sexy romance is a story of redemption and love that is discovered looking under the first layer of skin. Miko has come to claim what he lost and Sky never stands a chance. Although she is now hiding under this pretty polished new exterior, Miko knows the real woman underneath and he’s not out for the beautiful shell that she is showing off, no Miko wants the shining star that Sky was back on that broken day in high school. Passions run high and feelings can’t be denied.  Finding the true person inside and pulling down all the walls that are put up by society’s view on what is lovely. It was steamy and it had a suspenseful under current that added to the sexy vibe. I read this in one setting and immediately wanted more.  Georgia until you bring me more, thank you for a sexy romantic read.

Charleston Past Midnight by Christine Edwards - @ceerotica

Christine Edwards is by far one of my top favorite creators of perfect alpha male heroes. Every time she pens a man he’s just what I want and crave. This is the first paranormal for Ms. Edwards and it surpassed every expectation that I could have had for this sexy sizzling vampire romance. Severin and Calla had this intense and obvious attraction from the moment that they met. But this connection was something Severin encountered  before Calla knew he existed. Watching from afar he notes a beautiful woman in distress, something inside of him rises up with protectiveness that he can't walk away from. This passionate hero literally swoops in to save Calla and from this point on their lives is eternally changed. This was a very suspenseful read and at times I had my kindle in a white knuckle grip. Severin totally won me over in one statement. “One last thing, Calla.  Don’t ever wear that dress again unless we’re together.”   Yep he was totally perfect alpha hotness and possessive in all the right ways. This wouldn't be Christine's work if we didn't have sizzling sexy times and throw in the paranormal element and it was beyond hot. But it was also passionately romantic and I loved every moment.   I adored the secondary characters and loved how there were other love connections going on at the same time that Calla and Severin were falling into their passionate love affair. I hope that this is going to be a series and I’ll be one clicking immediately on every installment if it is. You can’t go wrong with Christine Edwards. When you pick up one of her stories you are immediately transported to a place where the men love hard and the women can’t help but submit in the sexiest and most passionate way to these perfect dominant heroes.
