Hard Rules started this series off with a scorching and passionate beginning. I completely found myself seduced by the characters and completely captivated by the background mystery going on. Lisa created a cast of characters that were unique and filled with vibrant life. I always find myself swept away by my heroes and Shane definitely gave me everything I want in a leading male. He oozed sensual power and he had an aura of authority.    I felt he had that vulnerable layer when dealing with Emily that showed he had a heart within that stone cold facade he portrayed for everyone else.    Emily was shrouded in suspenseful mystery. Her story is barely addressed yet I felt her character was honest..just afraid. So many secrets and so many enemies that no matter where you look someone is there testing their trust.      I was holding onto my kindle with a death grip at the end. I'm anxiously awaiting the next installment because Lisa you have really jerked the rug out from underneath me with that ending. I have loved this authors work with all of my heart since I read With You and Torn From You in one sitting a couple years ago. From that moment I've eagerly awaited more from these characters. She made my wait easier by spinning off into different series but keeping her world connected. Each visit into a new story is like surfing the tallest most baddest wave or jumping off the highest cliff. Each extraordinary story takes you so high and you'll find crashing can be painful but without the pain and the broken pieces you'd not find the other side of whole and healed.  Connor was always, always the man I wanted to know. To find this amazing hero, this brother to Georgie and brother to his men. He was built up so high in my mind I was afraid he'd never live up to my imagination. But not only did he surpass them but he captured my heart like no other hero of Nashoda has created yet. I think its fitting since his story really grew so deep and had so many layers.  I loved that Alina was someone who got to see the true Connor before Vault. He needed a person that would love him before, during and after all of his pieces were whole again.. Just cracked a little but oh so amazing.  From their numbers to their passion this couple defined limitless love just like this Author portrayed.    Connor was truly loyal and absolutely faithful in a way that you can hardly find anymore.  Those that search high and low for #SafeRead romance will simply adore him.  Spanning over a decade this love wouldn't be beaten. These two would fight for their beauty, for their life and for themselves.  “What I feel for her is limitless. There is no end to the love I have for her.” Truly an epic love story. As always there were secondary characters that added much needed balance for family support, humor and suspenseful moments. The relationship with Georgie and Connor always just seemed like the best example of sibling loyalty and love.     I closed my eyes and embraced my sister for the first time in over a decade. It was as if someone jammed a piece of me back in place as I held her. It was soiled and ripped, but the piece was my little sister. The bonds in this cast of character were stretched far and wide but never broken. These people seem so real to me and I almost feel sad when each story ends.   On one final note...  I will forever remember an animal stole the show.  Rocket the goat.. I see Rochelle Paige on a book and I immediately want to dive in. This was just what I was needing. Kael and Chloe were like fireworks when they came together. From the first moment they met it was kindling and a match.  Kael stole my heart when he said he'd not thought of another woman from first sight of Chloe in a magazine, not even in person. This is one suspenseful read and I seriously ate it up. Wow this series ended on a hopeful, nostalgic and perfect note. Brandon was so protective. From page one he was out for blood and someone had to pay. Carly's dear friend Thomas was another absolutely mysterious and interesting character who I really felt so bad for . He stood and took it and now I'm hungering for his story.   This installment had so many evil characters and betrayal at every corner. Oh that Sean.. He made my skin crawl.  The suspense was absolutely through the roof on this one.   Brandon's intense focus on reclaiming what was his, his life, his world brought tears to my eyes.       Of course Nic was still his extraordinary take charge self that had me distracted for a moment only because I caught my mini devil self on my shoulder battling it out about who I loved the most.. Nic, Brandon, Nic, Brandon..  Oh hell they are both so perfect. Nic was more than a friend he stepped up like family. There is no blood thicker than the absolute loyalty of Mafia Ties. Carly had so much spirit. She's tough as nails yet shows true feminine softness when Brandon layers her with dominant love. They had the perfect balance of passion to power.  His total, complete and unwavering faith that Carly would free herself if it came to that, really melted my heart. But that set it on fire was every time he called her kitten and especially when he describes her as his naughty kitty cat.    He definitely can make a girl purr. This series really captivated me and I almost fill a little bit sad that it's over. I only smile though thinking of the future and all the possibilities of stories for the next Mafia family generation. Get to writing my romance loving sisters.
