After a very slow start I finally got into this book and really enjoyed the budding romance between Logan and Brooklyn. From two completely different worlds these two faced more obstacles than most couples do in the short time they are together in this book. I really didn't like the ex Damon. I can't imagine the pain Brooklyn had to suffer alone for so long.

Her heart was broken and she didn't even want to give anybody a chance to heal it.

Logan is a sweet endearing hero but has his skeletons and really loves to spoil Brooklyn.

I found that Brooklyn was very impulsive and rash a times and made some pretty in the moment choices that bothered me. I almost felt like she didn't deserve Logan. He saved the story for me and the ending almost made me feel like he deserves to find somebody that will give him a chance not judge him at every chance she gets. Brooklyn at times showed that he was helping her with her broken heart. When they were together at times she'd seem to really be happy with him. I felt like she was making progress and maybe the hurt was healing slowly.

But then she'd do something harsh and I'd want to slap her again.

I hope that Brooklyn redeems herself because in my opinion she's completely wrong. In the end I give this story 4 stars because I really loved Logan and want to see him find happiness. Not sure I want him with Brooklyn.

 This was a sweet sexy story about a forbidden love. Christmas is on it's way and Kelsey and Jason meet in the most unfortunate ways. Jason is out to land his biggest deal and Kelsey's family business is all that stands in the way. Despite the conflict of interest these two can't stay away from each other and a sweet romance begins.

 This was a sweet debut romance from Lisa Andres and I felt it was a very sexy read. Jason had hardened his heart but Kelsey knocked down his walls and helped him to realize all that he had been missing. Tender moments growing closer and getting to know each other made me love this couple. Jason pulled out all the stops and turned out to be pretty romantic.

Their love scenes were  sizzling hot and I enjoyed the secondary characters and can't wait to read Jesse's book. MMA fighter yum.

4.5 Sweet Sizzling Stars

This book was packed with suspense and amazing characters.

Noah was taking a much needed break from touring and living the life of a rockstar which had lately left him feeling empty. Alexia (Lexi) has moved back home and is still healing from a tragic attack years before. This girl didn't let anything keep her down. I loved that about her. Her and Noah were so funny. I loved their banter. When they got close..the sparks flew. They not only had amazing chemistry but their love grew each day and it seemed almost natural rather than only basing their relationship off the immediate physical attraction. Noah was so affectionate with Lexi and it seemed sometimes he was too perfect but still they were adorable together.

There were some crazy adorable and wacky characters in this story that really were the best part. The Troublesome Trio.

3 Elderly ladies that didn't let a little thing like age get them down or stop them from hitting on or molesting every sexy guy they saw. They cracked me up and I enjoyed their antics.

I could go on and on but I just gotta say ...the enemy or villain in this story was one sick individual. He put the M in Monster. I cringed, gagged and cried over the stuff he said and did.

Now I can't wait for the next book. M. Stratton please write faster!!

Operation Saving Daniel by Nina Croft

 4 Hot Sizzling Stars & Hearts

This was not your average shapeshifter romance and I've read quite a few of them. What I found different and amazing about this story is that Nina brings reality to fantasy. Yep, most of the time in a PNR read you have a little bit of the over the top sentimental easy fixes. Hero has issues , Heroine also. Hero may have to save Heroine from harm blah blah blah. They have hot sex, they have a crisis and then make up and ride off into the happy ever after. Well, not Daniel and Lissa. No..from the first moment this was a not so happy ever after type story. Lissa gives Daniel a 20th birthday present any guy would die for. She takes away his V card. What does she do next? Leaves for almost 10 years. But when she finally comes back Daniel is not the cute but geeky boy anymore.

No, Daniel was filled out in all the right places and unfortunately hooked up to a raving Bitch. Trying to keep his family protected by attaching himself to The Evil One and also trying to hide his werewolf status was wreaking havoc with Daniel. Seeing Lissa again just rocked the foundation of his world. The feelings these two had for each other would not be denied and they couldn't keep their hands off each other.

Daniel tried so hard to fight his feelings only because he thought this would keep his family safe but what Lissa wasn't giving up. She was gonna save him from his own stupidity no matter what. I loved that the secondary characters stepped in to help and that even though Daniel was a true Alpha male he didn't have to be the sole hero in this story. Lissa stood by her man and she let him know what she wanted without playing the weak female If I had to pic one thing to critique about this story it would be I wanted longer love scenes. I mean we are talking about Daniel ..and I wanted more of his take charge ways. I really enjoyed this sexy story and I look forward to more.

5 *It's about time !! Sizzling Hearts for Heat

Wow what an emotional roller coaster ride this story was. This is not a feel good romance. This is bitter, raw and real. With the opening line of
"My mother was a whore"
I wanted to cry for most of it. I felt this one personally having a difficult childhood myself. I identified with the way Emerald's mother treated her and felt heart broken at what she endured. The thing about Emerald was her tragic past made her into one sassy snarky heroine. She didn't take crap from anybody. I laughed out loud more than once when her sarcasm was let loose. This was all a tool to hide the scars deep inside but this also helped Emerald survive being all alone.

Emerald had her sweet church going grandparents who cared deeply for her but their lifestyle left them in a position to not understand what she was going through but when it counted they stepped up. I loved her friend Sarah, what a crazy loud but funny girl.


Carter was a mystery to me for most of the book. I wanted to scream at Emerald to jump on that but boy she had a lot of other issues to deal with. But then.....I was frustrated right along side her at points and got a little pissed on her behalf a time or two. But in his defense, Carter was the true gentleman and I think that this was new for him. He wanted something real and was slowly pealing the layers from this broken girls heart.

Carter and Emerald were so hot together. You could just feel the chemistry steaming from my kindle. I was about to snap..then bam..they exploded and I the scenes were beyond sizzling.  

I can honestly say that most of the time a cliffhanger will make me scream but I actually said YES!!! at this one. I was in utter shock. But in the best of ways.  
I truly loved this couple and believe they are meant to be.

Until Trevor filled a big gap in my reading funk. I have really wanted another book with a perfect alpha. Trevor is sexy, loyal, possessive, and protective. He's bossy in the best way and knew what Liz needed even when she didn't.

  “You came all the way out here to check on me?” He shrugs, looking a little uncomfortable. “It’s what friends do; I'm going to be your best friend.” 

  His take charge ways were over the top but in all the best ways. I devoured this book and at the same time savored it. I'd re-read passages just to feel them again.  

He then stops, puts it in park, unclicks my seatbelt, grabs the waist of my jeans, pulls me into the middle of the cab of the truck, pulls the seatbelt around me, puts the truck back in reverse, and finishes backing us out of the space, and out the parking lot. “If it was bothering you so much, you could have asked me to sit in the middle, instead of manhandling me.” “I didn’t know you sitting over there bothered me, until you were sitting over there,” he says with a shrug. I shake my head, knowing there is no point in arguing.

 

This type of story is what keeps me reading Romance. I want a sexy hero and heroine with an alpha that is dominant but sweet, bossy but respectful and loyal to a fault. I want my Heroes to never waver. Once Trevor knew what he wanted he didn't doubt it for one second. 

 

I love those types of Heroes. Mrs. Reynolds has a knack for writing Sizzling sex scenes that will have you panting. Trevor brought out the dirty girl in Liz and she loved it. 

 I officially give this book 

I want more of these characters. I want Kai's book, but of course I want Cash now! Those boys are the epitome of Alpha . Nobody touches what is theirs and once they get that "boom" ..their girl better watch out. 

I'm so totally fangirling over these books that I'm feeling some stalker tendencies starting to develop. I want to scream "write faster!!!". Thank you so much Crystal for letting us have this advance copy! You made my month!
