Seven Year Itch (Passion, Vows, and Babies) by Sarah Curtis

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/36313900-seven-year-itch

Omg what a freaking knuckle biting ride!
🔥🌟✨
On every page I was on the edge of my seat. I felt every kind of emotion. One moment I was angry and then I'm shocked. Then I'm swooning and I've got sappy tears.

I really needed a Zyprexa, seroquel, Xanax cocktail because seriously even the psychotic voices were confused.

One moment angry then Bam 🔥🔥🔥
One simple neck nuzzle and I'm heated up for a whole different reason.

Garrett, oh boy I could kiss you and kill you for everything you did.

Sarah you are some kind of sneaky that's for sure.

Bravo

Paths (The Killers #2) by Brynne Asher

Grady had me wanting his story like crazy in Vines,  book 1 of this amazing series.  I have a soft spot for damaged heroes who need the love of a good woman and a place to call home.

Then add to this my other favorite element,  a heroine running from her past needing a hero. While there is a delicate balance between needing the love of a good man and at the same time being strong enough to survive and make it on your own , Brynne made it look simple.

Maya immediately showed mystery and strength.  No damsel shaking and weak  kneed.  She exuded confidence and just plain smarts.  She's super funny at times too.

I love the medical field as it's my life's work so the addition of that side of the story really spoke to my heart.  I work closely with an assisted living facility and these people become close like family to those care takers in their lives. This includes medical professionals who take care of them.  I have to say I laughed so hard and was just so entertained with all of the characters.

Grady proved all my thoughts correct.  He was strong, loyal  faithful and brave. His past shaped him into something fierce and protective but he was already an amazing brother and guardian from the start.

Maya came into his life at a critical time not only for him but for herself.
Everything I love and everything I need in my romance was found in the pages of this epic read.

Seriously Grady and Maya are simply my kind of love story.

Now I'm back to being greedy wanting Asa NOW.

Worth the Wait (McKinney/Walker, #1) by Claudia Connor @Claudia__Connor

Claudia took my heart for a very emotional ride in this second chance story. I simply lost myself and my heart from pag one.   I have a hard time with second chance romance because usually there is a lot of drama that can make me lose respect for the couple.

This couple had life kick repeatedly and the way they handled it was really as humanly as can be expected.  They both made mistakes, both acted rashly in the past but Claudia have me true depth of remorse, sadness, hope, and faith.  She rebuilt them from the ashes of their past and into something stronger and steady.  I haven't cried for a heroine since Hannah and it's ironic she had such a huge presence in this story.  Mia had so much pain and heartache that I found myself sobbing so many times.  While Nick lost himself in his job and raising his siblings, living in guilt, Mia tried to live and love in the only way she could.  Her nurturing heart was broken again and in a way only a Mother could understand.  She's truly a character who will always be in my heart.  Nick had an uphill battle to reclaim his life, love and family but he claimed it like a true hero.
I'll say that only the separation and small details during it regarding their intimate past and lack of equality were the only negative aspects of this story but even including them added a humanity that made if believable.  Yes we want the fairytale but sometimes adding a few bumps just keeps it real.  Nick wasn't perfect and he knew it.  But his love when he had a second chance was a love that you just knew was worth the wait.  Truly an epic read all the way through.

Maid for the Billionaire (The Legacy Series #1)by Ruth Cardello @RuthieCardello

I took a risk and dove into this freebie blind. I actually was trying to read the oldest book on my kindle that I hadn't read yet. I was not only pleased, surprised and happy but I am hooked. This was exactly what I needed. With being on the more conservative side of steamy romance I simply like just love stories with depth and no other drama. No side elements that I don't read, no other people drama just good old fashioned steamy love story. Ruth gave me that and more. See took a sexy brooding hero and she brought him to his knees. A feisty school teacher shook this millionaire's foundation and proved that love and family is all that's important in the end.
Dominic was my favorite type of hero.. Bossy, take charge and tender when it counted. So possessive he didn't want Abby out of his sight.

Abby was brave, loyal and absolutely the perfect fit to this headstrong man.
I absolutely am going to be binge reading. I need these type stories.. Maybe I'm getting older who knows but all the unnecessary and gross drama that even the side characters get involved in some of the newer books detract from my pleasure. I'm just a old fashioned girl who misses her mom's steamy books I used to sneak and devour. This just fit that bill perfectly.

On to the next one.

Lights to My Siren (The Heroes of the Dixie Wardens MC #1) by Lani Lynn Vale @LaniLynnVale

When I have tears streaming down my face from emotions so deep that I can hardly put them into words, I know then that I’ve found a story that has touched me deeply. When I decided to give Lani Lynn Vale a chance and started this series it was because I had read the reviews of book one and saw that this was what I called a “Nic” proof book. There wouldn’t be any cheating or sex outside the hero/heroine. But what I found was so much more. This book was layered with energy that vibrated throughout. I am finding it hard to explain what I encountered in this amazing love story. Yes I’ll confess it has my favorite thing, insta-love. No the characters Sebastian and Baylee didn’t confess this love right away …it was more like lust but they were drawn to each other like nothing I’ve ever read before. I just loved though how this author took the time to bring these two together in a slow burning build of passion. They became a real couple and this story had so much more than their relationship going on. Baylee was a very strong heroine and had a very high stress job as a paramedic and also was dealing with two health disorders. Adhd and a bleeding disorder.  and I loved how Lani brought so many details of Baylee’s job and these health issues into the storyline. It didn’t detract from the romance, it was enhanced because it showed how they worked together as a couple and how they had to overcome the obstacles that we all face in real life. Real that’s the word I’ve been looking for. This book had real issues and it had things that made this love story feel authentic. I loved Sebastian so much. He was strong, loyal, protective and possessive. He didn’t mince words or try to hide his feelings. He wasn't just the VP of the MC club, no he was a firefighter who saved lives and worked hard. He just laid it out there. He wasn’t one for flowery words but showed his feelings..his actions spoke for themselves.

His past as a Marine really spoke to my heart being a mother to a US Marine myself. But when he took Baylee on a trip to visit some special friends… my heart broke. I learned something I feel ashamed to say I never knew before. Visiting the cemetery of lost heroes.. there’s a tradition. Simple coins. But profound meaning.

Nickels meant that the deceased and visitor to the grave attended boot camp together.
A dime meant that they served with the person in some capacity.
And a quarter, like the one Sebastian had just left, meant that they were with them when they’d died.

This part of the story just had me in tears and feeling so thankful for men like my son but also for the families and the loved ones left behind.

So Sebastian didn’t always speak the romantic words..he was all about doing, showing and claiming.  But his actions were LOVE and it was so consuming how he loved Baylee. When this book had me gripping my kindle and holding my breath till I was dizzy..and gasping..I knew then without a doubt I’ve found an author that I have to have more of. I was totally enraptured and oh Sebastian has really taken my heart.

With any MC series there is going to be the brotherhood, the foundation of the club.

This had so many interesting and intense characters that Lani took the time to make me the reader want more..right now. I want Kettle’s story and I want Sterling’s and  Trance. I haven’t looked at the next book but will be diving right in hoping it’s also safe for me. I was totally consumed by this amazing story and this author now has one girl who will be watching the name Lani Lynn Vale very carefully. Lani, I want perfect Alpha’s like Sebastian. Loyal, true and possessive. Write girl write.
OH …one last thing. From a girl born and raised in Louisiana, I really really loved the setting of this book being partly in my state.
Any body who loves a good loyal hero, sexy romance with suspense, passion and intrigue..along with an authentic reality type plot. Give this one a go..you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
