Wow, I'm simply filled to the brim with so many emotions. Annalisa is by far my top favorite author of sweet heartwarming romance with a steamy kick. She takes flawed characters and breaks them down to the barest essentials to where the only place they can go is up. Stephen was always that cold mystery..who was in the background and on the sidelines. You see him but he's always leaving or trying to hide. The secrets he lived with weren't just explosive,they were destructive and painful.  I feel his heart was absolutely damaged truly from carrying around this burden for so long. Maddy was chipped, scarred, cracked and discarded. She didn't know how to absorb the purest love coming from the Masons and Stephen was drawn to her pain like he saw in himself. He knew he wasn't good for her but love like this would not be denied. Once the secrets are brought to light the only thing left was redemption and forgiveness and my girl Annalisa shows pure humanity in her romance and in her cast of characters and the simply profound family dynamics .  I cried sad tears then I sobbed from happy tears. There isn't anything like having a story bring you from pain to beauty and leave you feeling like you loved and you learned right a long with these touching characters.  I will hug this lady like so hard the day I meet her sweet self. Annalisa my dear friend, Never change..Romance is this.. struggles, heartache, healing and faith. Hard Rules started this series off with a scorching and passionate beginning. I completely found myself seduced by the characters and completely captivated by the background mystery going on. Lisa created a cast of characters that were unique and filled with vibrant life. I always find myself swept away by my heroes and Shane definitely gave me everything I want in a leading male. He oozed sensual power and he had an aura of authority.    I felt he had that vulnerable layer when dealing with Emily that showed he had a heart within that stone cold facade he portrayed for everyone else.    Emily was shrouded in suspenseful mystery. Her story is barely addressed yet I felt her character was honest..just afraid. So many secrets and so many enemies that no matter where you look someone is there testing their trust.      I was holding onto my kindle with a death grip at the end. I'm anxiously awaiting the next installment because Lisa you have really jerked the rug out from underneath me with that ending. Cami and Landon were sweet together. I loved Landon's amazing tenderness and devotion towards Cami. These two had quite a few obstacles against them over a decade ago. First being Landon being to old for Cami and then the Navy took him away. Cami marries leaving Landon to believe she's moved on but while she moved on he couldn't find anyone long term. His heart always came back to the one who got away. Cami is free, finally accepting that her marriage wasn't what a real union should be. She's even trying to hook her ex husband up with anyone she can find.  Landon is home , thankfully these two aren't jealous and can let the past remain in the past and they find there forever right in each others arms. Finally where they belong.. Together.     Some funny times along with some super sexy times keep this story moving along and then trials and struggles solidify the strength of their bond is cemented and true. My heart broke with them and healed with them. Really sweet second chance story. Can't wait for more.

Drew and Aspen were fun and feisty. I like their banter and their passion.    Aspen was more than sassy, she was silly at times in her own crazy way.    Drew had some idiot moves at first and seriously shouldn't have been dating at all in his position. His devotion to those he loves and anyone that's important to him is something that absolutely stole my heart. He's a true perfect hero even when he was a little silly and stupid. Every time I think this author can't give me more beauty than the last she proves me wrong. I've wanted Kolan's story it seems like forever. He had this air of danger yet loneliness and that always calls to me. I was worried about his past with his "tastes" but this author wrote him and Sophie's story with absolute grace and respect. Nothing bothered me and I adored how he cherished her and worshiped her. This strong warrior fought so many battles against danger to her but also the scars inside and out.    He showed her the true beauty she would always possess. K. C. Lynn really knows how to weave a tale that has you hungering for each page, anticipation flowing and building. Then the sweetest and most emotional yet explosive unions are created. This story had everything I come to love that is a part of her signature style.    Great friendships, passionate lovers, true faithfulness and of course charming kids who make you laugh.  Can't wait to see where she'll take us next.
