Worth the Chance by Vi Keeland

I absolutely love Vi Keeland's writing style. She writes passion and emotion into every character and every page. Vinny's character intrigued me and broke my heart in Worth the Fight. I was pleasantly surprised at how Vi transported us into the future where Vinny is all grown up into a fiercely protective and loyal man. He stands by his mother who really didn't deserve it. He respects Nico who helped him change his life. But most of all he goes after what he wants. He want's a chance with Liv and he isn't going to give up. I loved how he showed her constantly how much he wanted her and even with some humor he kept their scenes sizzling with sexual tension.

Vinny had a big heart but never really opened it to a woman until Liv, once when they were too young to embrace it and now when they both want it so badly.

There were some moments I wanted to knock him upside his head but he was an amazing character who left me wanting more of him and part of that was to heal his scars and enjoy his passionate personality in all areas of his life. Vinny exuded LIFE and it was amazing.

I loved Liv, she didn't take crap and she also stepped up when she made mistakes. So many times she'd jump the the wrong conclusion and Vinny would set her straight and she'd apologize and they would move on. These two set the pages on fire and I only wished for more.
A sweet second chance love story and another winner from Vi Keeland.

Wolf Protector by Milly Taiden

Ok sometimes I just want a book where the guy just knows what he wants and goes for it.
OK I LIED This is the kind of book I ALWAYS want!!

Love the hero, Trent. He's so freaking sexy and he owns it!
But he wants Erica and he's not gonna let her stubborn attitude about love push him away.

Lots of steamy scenes, and wow he's something else.

I've been meaning to move Melissa Foster up my TBR for some time because every time I turn around I see she's released another book. I was pleased and happy to find a sweet romance about learning love and forgive and change even when it hurts.

This was an easy sweet read with amazing secondary characters. The whole book wasn't fluff though. Very deep and emotional issues were dealt with and the writing flowed so perfectly. Not a lot of sizzle but the story made up for it. Looking forward to reading more and am praying that the next one doesn't have the angst I think it's going to have.

The Scars of Us by Nikki Narvaez

This is a story of how two people who have a past filled with betrayal and heart ache caused by the people that are supposed to love and protect them come together and love each other through the scars.

Filled with angst and outside forces this story moves along pretty fast. From the moment that Ryker and Kaiya saw each other for the first time their chemistry was undeniable. They both spent time trying to fight it but with rules in place by Kaiya they tentatively try to move forward. But, Ryker is one that believes rules are made to be broken and he is determined to break those rules along with the all the walls that Kaiya has built around her heart.
I felt frustrated at both of the characters actions in the first half of the book but knew it had to happen for them to see each other as someone who wasn't gonna run or hurt them at the first chance they got.

Once Ryker has Kaiya in his arms for good he stops at nothing to show her
how much he cares. Ryker was sweet at times but also strong and believed that Kaiya was his warrior and he never let her forget she was a fighter. He was determined to erase everything and replace all the old hurts with passion and a pure love.

Kaiya's brother Kamden was the angel in this book. He stood by Kaiya through the darkest of times and made the ultimate sacrifice. I hope that somehow he get his love story too.

The ending was beautiful and tears of course were present.
I'll definitely have to check out future books that Nikki puts out.

The Professor's Plaything by Normandie Alleman

For some reason I love Teacher /Student (when they are adults) stories. I just think they are always enthralling and keep me guessing. The hiding out and the keeping things secret always seem to add that little bit of dirty to the romance.
This one was a very short and very hot read.
College student and professor jump right into a steamy affair and it turns quickly into a very sweet romance with a sexy edge.
Nothing deep to the story and no angst really at all. Just some very very hot and frequent sex scenes and a few relationship obstacles thrown in to move the plot along but nothing that stressed me out.
If you want a fast sexy read with a kinky professor that has a thing for discipline this will fit the bill perfectly.

Strike by Holly S. Roberts

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/19398787-strike

I went into Strike thinking this was going to be a lighthearted quick romance. What I didn't realize was that this book was gonna burn off my socks and melt the hell out of my heart.
Jaycee is raising her sister and brother after their mother has died. They live in a run down travel trailer and have the bare necessities. What I loved about these 3 precious souls is that life was hard but couldn't keep them down. They made the best out of the hand that was dealt with them. The one time that Jaycee makes a rash decision and well let's call it a dangerous and stupid choice, is the moment their life changes forever.

Reed was a rich, talented and sexy guy who had never even had to work a real job in his life. In crashes (literally) Jaycee and immediately he sees what's been missing. This guy from the moment he gets to know Jayce is a stand up MAN. He is perfect and knows just what he wants. The sex scenes in this story were off the charts and I was blown away because I never expected such a sweet love story but I really never knew it was going to have love scenes that would leave me breathless.

Reed was kinky and he was not shy about it. His dirty talking and his dominant side were sexy as hell. I read this book so fast but I'd find myself rereading scenes because they were that freaking HOT.

A lot of books leave me with a sick stomach over the angst and all the drama. This was so refreshing at how much of a sweet love story it was. Reed never faltered and he definitely earned our
 Perfect Alpha Approved
 Seal.

For so long it was Jaycee, Bitsy and John. Reed saw them as a team and he just wanted the chance to be apart of something so rock solid.
I can't say enough how much this book refreshed me and made me just feel like I read a sweet erotic Cinderella story. Reed was a true prince and Jaycee and her family including her sweet little cat were just a bright spot in my day.

I waited so long to read this book, I think deep in my heart knowing that it would gut me. So many personal reasons behind how much this book affected me. I just can't put into words how beautiful this love story is.

What an amazing journey between two broken souls who have such similarities to their inner scars. How they come together in a healing way and it really just took away my breath. I am definitely going to be finishing this series. I loved the amazing secondary characters and thought everyone of them was brought to life in a way like no other book I've ever read.
I am happy to finally had the time to move this up and in a lot of ways I'm very pleased that I held off so because if I'd have had to wait after that cliffhanger I'd have nearly fainted from frustration.
