Cherish Hard (Hard Play #1) by Nalini Singh @NaliniSingh

It's been a while since I lost myself in a Nalini Singh book. I'll need to rectify after being blown away by this gem I dove into.   Sailor was a book hero that is everything I'm looking for. He's first of all totally loyal to everyone he cares about. He's strong, capable and dependable. He's sexy like you can't even imagine..  Isa was sucked in by his intense magnetism and these two danced an inevitable waltz that took them to the most precious hea you'd ever want. There were way more than one love connection going on.  There's all the family members on both sides. So many personalities and various depths of familial conflict and unwavering support. The Dragon, Jacqueline, well I'm not sure what to think. She was someone I really couldn't understand. But by the end she grew a bit and it all worked out.  Isa was truly one amazing heroine and Sailor cherished her exactly like she deserved. What I loved SO MUCH was that Sailor's brother Gabriel is the hero in  Rock Hard  See My Review HERE and if you haven't read that book  YOU NEED TO NOW! Protector's Claim by Airicka Phoenix @AirickaPhoenix

Protector's Claim was a book I had been looking forward to for so long. Everything about this authors writing reaches into my heart and doesn't let me go. She gives you a hero in Kieran that is so very intense and so very protective that I simply hung on every word or every page he was on. These two met when Gabby was a little awkward teenager who Kieran was too old to even notice without being a predator. Thankfully he didn't see her as a woman until she grew up. When he noticed her for real no other woman existed to him. Yes ladies the unicorn of heroes existed in this hot sexy gem. A really celibate hero who treats his woman like gold.    There is some pretty dark themes here and I'd stay away if you are easily upset by dark subject matter. But for me I absolutely devoured every page. The darkness Gabby lived through was unspeakable and tragic. But Kieran moved heaven and hell to claim and protect her. I had some moments of pure panic but this author always brings sunshine after the darkness. Great read. View all my reviews

Eternal (Carolina Beach #2) by Cecy Robson @cecyrobson

Life's been crazy this week. I had to push this book back because I knew when I start a Cecy Robson book I don't put it down. She sucks me in from the first page till the last. Oh my goodness Landon is everything you'd ever want in a hero. He's just broken enough with past betrayal that he's holding back mentally but physically and emotionally he grabbed hold of Luci from that first night. While he fought with his mind, his heart knew better. I connected with Luci a lot. My childhood was hard. I really felt so much for her situation. Landon didn't want to accept that what he felt for her in one weekend was more than he felt in years with his ex. It took time but his heart was truly melting and his mind caught up with his heart just in time. I'd have never been able to finish this if he'd have pushed her away but while his mind was being unfair and stupid, his body, soul and heart never let Luci far from reach. He truly let out all of what he felt right when it counted the most. What I loved was how these two really took a passionate start and began a beautiful friendship that blossoms into a soul deep love. Cecy has a way with passion and sexual tension that ramps up your reading experience to a whole different level. I loved every sexy second. I adored every laugh out moment. There's something I love about.. Laughing out loud when I am quietly reading a book and something funny just jumps right out and tickles me. So many emotional moments made this a beautiful read. If I had to pick one downside it's that Cecy added some not so subtle political stabs that could have been left out. I get enough of that on the news and I read for pleasure, escape and the romance. But like the truly talented author that she is, even the bad adds to the beauty of the whole story. I'll never forget how I felt when Landon really accepted how he truly felt. I'll also never forget how much I cried when people stepped up to support Luci in her time of need. I really only wish I could gave seen a little rather into the future with some added little people. But I'm sure more is to come in Becca and Hale's story. I just really and scared that while they have been in love for years that they'll have been with other people and that's somehow something my heart can't take. Make it equal Cecy or make it none.. Or just don't bring it up.. I just want them to prove they really were faithful to their love. Thank you for another wonderful story. Can't wait for more. View all my reviews

Falling Fast by Aurora Rose Reynolds @AuroraRoseR

Diving into ARR book gives me butterflies and romantic feels in ways that I can hardly describe the anticipation and bubbling feelings.    I know that going in the hero will capture my heart immensely and irrevocably. Colton did that and more. This wonderful hero, an American hero, was beyond loyal, beyond honorable, beyond brave. Colton was strength from his head to his boots, he was passion from his heart to his soul. Colton was the kind of hero I long for every time I open a book.  Paired with the sweet, sassy and sometimes innocent Gia, Aurora gave us a couple that literally made my heart swoon. Like she's known to do, this author created a journey of loss, pain and healing. She gave friendship connections and family created by love not blood. Those are the best kinds of stories. It surpasses the love connection and gives you a family. Hands down this author keeps improving and I feel like she hit this out of the park. Totally epic, sweet and sexy story.

Gifts (The Killers #3) by Brynne Asher

This series has been a complete and utter blissful experience of everything I look for in my romance. It's no surprise that Brynne checks those boxes for me in every single book she writes. But what comes as a shock to me is every time I start a book by this talented author, I simply lose myself in a way that just testifies that she's beyond good. She's brilliant. From emotion, to humor and of course sizzling passion, you'll find layer after layer in these pages, of every kind of emotion.  Asa called to me from the moment he was introduced as a character. He had that mature hero vibe that's a weakness since I'm of that age. But he had that soul deep energy that gives him the edge of awareness. He pays close attention to all things, especially the people he cares about. Keelie absolutely stood no chance at resisting this wonderful man. I'm a sucker for single parent storylines and this had the added bonus of a double wammie. Every child from precocious Saylor to mature Levi stole my heart. But oh sweet Emerson, that girl, my heart broke for her. Way to many things so heavy and so terrible were weighing down on her young shoulders. This time we surpassed the crazy antics of cows to add Donkeys and goats to the mix showing that beautiful addition of mother nature's humor that Brynne is so gifted at sprinkling into her stories.   The suspense was again perfect and kept me riveted. But what I loved was the amazing perfection of all things Asa. My kriptonite is always going to be a hero who doesn't back down, who doesn't give up and who unashamedly supports, protects and loves his woman. The love I felt between these two really touched me so much. Pure passion and beauty. His love just vibrated and Keelie could only absorb it into her pores along with healing only the love of a real man could give.  But add into that his love for his children and hers too well my ovaries never stood a chance. This author has not budged from my short list of favorites since I first heard of her and all I can see going forth is her climbing farther up to the top. Now she just needs a cloning pill so she can write faster. Until then I'll keep these stories and perfect heroes tucked away in my heart till the next one sweeps me away.
