Letters To Molly (Maysen Jar #2) by Devney Perry @DevneyPerry

Writing a review with tears running down my face is hard. But if I don't let these feelings out, I'm afraid I'll simply burst wide open.

Second chance love stories terrify me. I dove into this story completely blind because I had already pschyed myself up to be torn to pieces. I prepared myself, telling my heart. Be brave. You can do this. It's a challenge read. It's just a book. You'll survive. Well I did. I'm here. Still breathing yet I'm not the same. This story spoke to me on a deeply personal level. Finn and Molly and the letters were a small window into my own life. I've been where they were. I struggled through a second chance and the feelings and emotions in this book were raw. They were real and they rocked me to my soul.

I gripped my kindle in white knuckled hands. I sobbed. I laughed. I sighed. I simply cried every kind of tear. Devney took a tragedy and turned into triumph.

Finn showed grace. Molly showed perseverance. Together they showed that real true love will not die. That might sound trite, but it's the truth.
Words can hurt. They can harm. But even when they are ugly they can actually heal too.

Letters, simple words on paper. Something that could have been so trivial turned out to be life changing. Yet without Finn and Molly both letting the words change them both, it never would have helped. The love and passion these two never truly lost unraveled in a beautiful mess. I loved every simple moment. Every confusing second.

Fin was just It for Molly

With his natural swagger and sexy grin, which let a few of his straight white teeth show, the man’s presence had always sent zings through my body.

She took forgiveness and bathed two souls in that healing balm. There's definitely truth in the fact that there's 3 sides to every split.. His, hers and the unvarnished truth.
Finn and Molly's truth was that it wasn't one person's fault it was equal and the fact that neither could move on.. Well that proved that sometimes you have to dig up a grave, hash it out, then rebury it. After that new growth can survive. Healing came in and love rekindled.

I believe in redemption because I lived it. When Finn realized his forgiveness of Molly had to include himself that's when his heart truly opened back and he felt everything rush back in.

She looked beautiful, sitting there with her hair down, the wisps around her temples blowing with the warm breeze. A sudden jolt made my heart skip.

The secondary characters were such a refreshing break to some heavy topics. This was so important to keep the perfect balance.
If you have one tiny iota of mercy in your heart give this beautifully healing story a chance. You'll come out different. You might just find healing yourself.

Broken Halo (The Montgomery, #2) by Brynne Asher

Broken Halo absolutely consumed for the last 3 days. I don't have a lot of reading time during waking hours. Work, kids, work, grandkids, etc.. Well so the only choice I had was to skip a little sleep. There's just something about a story or an author when you have to give up something vital just because you can't wait to dive back in.

Easton "Trig" Barret whetted my appetite in Bad Situation. He was a mystery, an enigma and I needed the solution to his puzzle immensely. So to see him fight through the swamp of regrets, lies and betrayal to find his way back to his Ellie well.. Let's say the wait and the anticipation was well worth it.
This book rocked. It had everything I love. Second chance stories are very tricky. Brynne did it right.
Such beauty amongst some brutal truths. Happiness found amongst some pretty deep hurt. But every healing page just felt right.
This couple is definitely a top favorite

Alpha's Promise (Dark Protectors #10) by Rebecca Zanetti @RebeccaZanetti

#preorder

I simply can't get enough of this series. This world that Rebecca Zanetti has  created is like a faraway land of everything that's awesome. Every character is strong, important and vibrant.
Every hero is loyal from the start. She doesn't bog down or fill the pages with annoying other people drama (you know clinging exes, other women drama, those things?), no, she gives passion, suspense , action and most of all an epic love story every time.

Ivar "Viking" is true to his name. Pure strength, utter loyalty and  completely alpha. Oh this guy really took me away. Promise was adorably scientific. She had a way that almost leaved towards autistic. Like getting lost in numbers like binging on Netflix for us. Brilliant heroines, strong and independent. That's the way for Rebecca and that's why I love her stories so dang much. 💞
I simply know that so far this is my #TopFav series in paranormal romance. I can't wait for more each time.
I need to know what's up with Haven and Quade.. Please gimme now! 💞

Salvatore (In Too Far #1) by Cecy Robson @CecyRobson

I couldn't put this book down. Salvatore had that anti hero thing going on with just enough good guy peeking through that I simply was hooked right from the start. Giving up everything to save his brothers and getting trapped into a job that was as dangerous as lucrative at the same time was more than hard. From the first moment Sal laid eyes on Adrianna he knew she was different. She was his game changer. The playboy who never felt anything for any other woman felt everything and needed her like air. So many times I was afraid he'd break my heart with hers yet he didn't. Yes it was so irritating having the Donnie situation yet Sal never felt anything except brother type feelings for her. This author kept Sal totally faithful even when he was easily in situations that could have caused issues. He fell so hard for Aedry and he showed it with his loyalty.

I loved Aedry and how she poured her heart into her counseling kids. Sal's brothers thrived with her showering them with compassion and understanding. This book had highs, lows and definitely some suspense. Blood , violence and so many lies. Yet the way this played out showed everything Sal did, he did for the love of his brothers and most of all for Adriana.
Loved this so much.

The Hookup by Kristen Ashley @KristenAshley68

503 days..
That's how long it's been since I've immersed myself in Kristen Ashley's world. I don't know why I waited. I think I have a clue but to admit it would probably make me sound certifiable. Let's just say.. Sometimes you have this cake, it's so good. It's so sweet and it's just so decadent. You kinda want to savor it.. Save it.. Well for some reason KA takes me almost too far out of real life. Like I literally lose myself.. I enjoy her stories probably more than any other.. And I simply find myself lost when they're finished. It's the worst kind of book depression. So I guess I have to limit myself. Kinda like when we space out those decadent deserts..

Eliza and Johhny were exactly what I needed.

I know how it feels to love hard. Be hurt and then find love again. You can't compare love. It's like apples and oranges. I mean yea it's the same emotion.. Technically.. But the layers,  ingredients, tastes and in the end the savoring of it  is totally different. Each love is meant for the time it lasts.. Some hurt but they teach us lessons.. Johhny had a lesson that hurt and then he got the entire world as his forever and that one lesson he'd gladly go thru the pain of his past to find his future. . His Eliza was his peace. His happy. His reason.
Together they were life and forever.
As usual Kristen wrote depth, purity, simplicity yet each word.. Meant something. It had kick, it had resonance and in the end it marked me.
Savor.. Thats what I do. I savor this authors words.
