3.5 Stars for story and 10 hearts for heat.   Beloved by Corinne Michaels While I loved the concept of this story. I found that the angst overwhelmed me. For every thing that Jackson did to show Catherine she was worth it, she kept wallowing in her past and it just frustrated me. Jackson did so much to show her how fun love could be and how passionate a real connection could be. But she had been hurt so bad by her father and her fiance that Jackson really didn't stand a chance. When she finally realizes how much he means to her ..that is when the whole thing takes another turn. Some things actually made me second guess my thoughts about Jackson and well if what I think happened in the past then well Catherine again isn't gonna be first choice she'll just be who is there now. I was hoping for a love story where she actually was someone's beloved. Not a roller coaster with a plunge into a river of nothing at the end.  I am not sure if I'll read the next installment because I am on angst overload. The writing was stellar and the love scenes were beyond hot.Which is why I am able to give it 3.5 stars but I just found my frustration at the character Catherine's inner dialogue drove me batty. This is me right now!!      Completely BLOWN AWAY! Eva Simone gave me just what I was craving.  One 100% Alpha Male with a freaking side of   HOT BEAUTIFUL ROMANCE. Brandon was the total package. Lily described him perfectly  as  T.D.A (Tall Dark Adonis)    From the moment he crashed into Lily, his energy consumed my Kindle. I was in romance heaven and was so mad I had to sleep, eat or work because I didn't want to stop reading.  The tenderness and passion and just plain hotness of these two really melted my heart. Every time Brandon opened his mouth and was the sexy sweet romantic I’m glad you liked the flowers Lily. I can think of something more beautiful than your flowers, the woman they were delivered to.  or showed his dominant bossy side.  “You look good on your knees at my feet Miss Pritchard.”  I was doing one of these things.  or He just oozed perfection. Yea and I was hooked. These two were so sweet and sexy getting to know each other and when they finally gave into the passion. It was beyond hot ...it was   But I just have to say there was so much more than  Sizzling sex scenes. This guy never once  showed the slightest fear of sharing how he felt about Lily. I loved that.    He was honest, possessive and strong.  Brandon had it all  in spades.  Lily was innocent and sweet but had a very sad history and didn't feel like she'd ever have a connection with a man and was afraid if she did she'd lose them. But with Brandon's love,  her heart healed slowly and he tenderly pealed back all the broken layers to find the woman inside that was strong and brave.  There was such a beautiful love story here that it just had me sighing more than once.   I am so totally adding another author to my stalking list. I only wish I could have read sooner. This one is a MUST READ for anybody wanting a 100% loyal alpha male love story.  I can't wait for the next installment. Dare to Resist (Wedding Dare, #0.5) by Laura Kaye

OH man do I love how Laura Kaye writes her leading men.  Colton was just yummy and this little novella set up this series in the best way. I can't wait to read about the next couples but I have to just take a moment to RAVE over how hot Colton and Kady were.  Both with hidden desires that were the only thing that fueled their passion. Both craved things that made them thing they were alone in the world. Colton thought he'd never be able to have what he felt for Kady with all intense kink he needed in the bedroom inlcuded. But, Kady had her own secrets and when Colton discovered them. BAM!! Explosions of not only passion and chemistry but these two finally accepted how right they were for each other. Gosh if only it could have been longer. But alas , I am at least able to go into the next books with knowing they are getting their HEA.  Loved this one so much.

Gimme Some Sugar by Kimberly Kincaid

Another sweet and sexy winner from Kimberly Kincaid. I can tell you this lady has one bubbly personality (totally bouncing in person)and it really shows in her writing. The passionate dialogue and layers of emotions encountered in her story telling keeps me hooked from page one.   I really loved Jackson.  I mean just his name made me sigh. He had a jaded outlook on his ability at  long term relationships,   but I just knew that once he let those walls down that his ability to love would be so huge. He just had that good guy vibe and I liked him right away.   Carly was just what he needed because although she had every reason to be against love or marriage or even long term hookups she still had an open personality and didn't shy away from taking risks.  These two had chemistry from the very first moment they encountered each other and even though some of those moments were pretty darn funny they still ooozed sexuality and I loved it!     It took them both some time to get where they needed to be but this love story really charmed itself into my heart. I look forward to Sloane's story but most of all give me Adrian's. I want this big sexy guy to fall hard as he can for some sassy lady. Come on Kim, gimme MORE ..now. :)

Frozen Barriers by Sara Shirley

Wow this one surprise this one was. It was heavy on the details but once I just tucked in and got lost in the story I was able to overlook how long it was. I just simply loved how meaningful the relationships were and how I was able to watch this couple fall in love , learn how to stay in love and above all else learn how to love themselves.    It's hard sometimes to find refreshing and sweet romances. I need those more and more lately. So many books are dark and painful. While there was some moments of angst in this story , it wasn't overwhelming. The characters learned from their mistakes and owned up to them. I loved Jeremy. He was just so sweet and possessive. I adored how much he respected women and how he did everything in his power to convince Emily that she needed to be able to fight for her dreams.    I look forward to more from this author. Josh's story is going to be one I can't wait to read.
