Dropout by Jamie Schlosser @SchlosserJamie

Jamie Schlosser really has grabbed my attention. Her books just give me warm and fuzzy feelings in all the fantastic ways.

Jimmy really and truly was the best kind of book boyfriend. Funny, faithful and flirty.. yes that and protective , loyal and honest. He knew when he messed up and was determined to redeem himself. Mackenna was like a Phoenix rising from the ashes. Yet she didn't really come into full life again until Jimmy showed up.
These two had me laughing a lot and really rooting hard for them. Up until 90% of the book I was in romance heaven. Their love story had so much to believe in. I adored the dates, starfish sleeping and corny jokes. It was refreshing to read love build and not be told it's just their overnight. Then well.. Sigh.. There has to be conflict I suppose so things got rocky and it went a little sideways for a bit. Mackenna lost her mind for a minute but I'm so glad Jimmy stayed firm and true.

I really loved their reunion and the epilogue was sentimental enough to make me tear up.
This book had a couple of show stealers Grandma Beverly and Sweat Pea. These two really just kept me in cheesy smiles and giggles that wouldn't quit.

Jamie I can't wait for more.

The Sapphire Heist (Jewel #2) by Lauren Blakely @LaurenBlakely3 @InkSlingerPR

The conclusion of this sexy series kept me guessing till the very end. The last book left me with my mouth hanging open and I just couldn't wait to see how this couple would work things out.  I adored Jake and Steph and their sizzling chemistry. They had obstacles that went beyond the mystery of their search for diamonds. Their mistrust due to past betrayal caused them some angst and for a time I was pretty irritated with both of them. They both were stubborn at times yet thankfully their growing feelings helped them work things out a long with sweet and funny grovel by this sexy hero. Lauren balanced the mystery and the angst with the perfect balance of humor and suspense. I rooted for these two to not only find their answers but to also realize their past didn't define their present or most importantly the future they could have together. This was a exciting and sexy series and I can't wait for more from Lauren.

The Keeper (Crossing Realms #1) by Rebecca Neely @RebeccaNeely1

Rebecca Neely created a vibrant, mysterious and magical world in the first Crossing Realms installment. We meet Libby a shy and anxiety ridden sad woman who is barely existing in a boring, stressful and unfulfilled job and life. Grieving her dads passing she's just living one day to the next. A crazy occurrence on an ordinary day changed Libbie's life when Nick shows up in all of his mysterious swagger and dark attitude. The connection between the two was soul deep and felt by this reader immediately. The suspenseful and magical world building was intense and layered with so many elements. Keepers, Watchers, Betrayers. So many levels of good and evil. This wasn't just a romance it had a family vibe and a very action packed plot. Nick and Libbie's story was passionate and healing and I really enjoyed the ups and downs. Nick was so amazing, never holding back when the time came to lay out his feelings. Nothing like a hero dreaming about claiming his woman forever and planning babies.
Total swoon alert.

I can't wait to see what the next installment will bring in this powerful, romantic and magical series.

Bounty (Colorado Mountain #7) by Kristen Ashley @KristenAshley68

I saved this book as long as I could to start it. I have learned that anytime I begin a Kristen Ashley read I'll be consumed. Its never a surprise that it's always deep to my soul immersion. Deke and Justice took me far away back to a place where friends are family and once you are in you are there to stay. She weaves in new amazing people right onto the tapestry of a bond of souls where you can't even see the threads beginning or ending.

I won't rehash the plot.. It just needs to be experienced.. I'll just leave this here. There was beauty because is this authors way. There was passion because she bleeds it. There was humor and generosity. But most of all there was a bone deep slow burn falling in love romance that I simply couldn't put down. Deke and Justice had a tough road to walk down and I rooted for them the whole way. Deke was different than any other Kristen Ashley Hero and although it took me a while to warm up to him, once I did it was blazing hot, down to my toes warmth for a strong man, a good friend and one hell of a partner for Justice.

Justice was unique also and her many layers were created by family and friends. Her roots made her and her strength kept her when nobody else was there. Her gypsy ways made the best girl a guy like Deke could hope for. I think his hesitance in the beginning was just his heart not believing that someone like his Jussy could actually be there ..and be there for him. With him. It took time and it took a lot of fantastic funny conversations between these two but seriously they just fit in so many ways. I definitely count Justice as one of my favorite KA heroines ever. Music had a heavy theme and fitted the love story perfectly. I felt light in my heart and a sweet feeling of peace when the story faded. I simply always feel so blessed after a gift from this author.

An Act of Salvation (Acts Of Honor #2 ) by K.C. Lynn @AuthorKCLynn

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/28096326-an-act-of-salvation

This should be something we all believe, accept and tell ourselves everyday because we all deserve only the best in life, love and happiness. But the truth is this world is full of pain, ugliness and a lot of the time the people we love the most and who should be the one who cherishes us are the ones who cause the most harm.

Nick may have been the person who taught Katelyn those special words but it took years for him to prove he meant them not only for her but for himself. He left her and although he may have been watching from afar he wasn't strong enough at the time to be the man she needed. So years go by and neither can find anything close to what they shared before.  The chemistry that started with one blazing night years ago exploded again as soon as they come back together.

There were some hot, scenes which blazed with passion and through their lovemaking I felt the adoration and love Nick was unable to vocally share every time he touched Katelyn and my heart ached for them both.

His actions spoke louder than any words.. I kept hoping and he didn't let me down.

I slowly grew to like Nick. I had to take off my judgmental pants and try to forgive him for years of missed time that he stole from Katelyn and himself. I needed to go back to his beginning with him and watch him shake off the pain and embrace that he was more too and that he was worthy of love and able to give that love forever. I also had to see through the eyes of a mother that made mistakes and paid dearly for them. Nick had to forgive and let go and embrace the love he had waiting for him.  When Nick needed to be the man Katelyn deserved he did this with bravery and honor. I happily and finally fell hard for this gruff hero. Sometimes it just takes two broken hearts to make one.

I adored how the characters from Beautifully Insightful were brought into this story.
I loved how KC gave us her signature theme of family and friendship.
I was absolutely thrilled with the epilogue and was left with a very warm smile on my face.
Kinda nervous for Kolan who will get his story soon. I need him to fall hard and be super possessive.. Which might change his lifestyle a bit.
I trust KC to bring us from pain to beauty though. I just have to ride and hang on. Absolutely love this author and everything she writes.
