Claudia took my heart for a very emotional ride in this second chance story. I simply lost myself and my heart from pag one.   I have a hard time with second chance romance because usually there is a lot of drama that can make me lose respect for the couple.   This couple had life kick repeatedly and the way they handled it was really as humanly as can be expected.  They both made mistakes, both acted rashly in the past but Claudia have me true depth of remorse, sadness, hope, and faith.  She rebuilt them from the ashes of their past and into something stronger and steady.  I haven't cried for a heroine since Hannah and it's ironic she had such a huge presence in this story.  Mia had so much pain and heartache that I found myself sobbing so many times.  While Nick lost himself in his job and raising his siblings, living in guilt, Mia tried to live and love in the only way she could.  Her nurturing heart was broken again and in a way only a Mother could understand.  She's truly a character who will always be in my heart.  Nick had an uphill battle to reclaim his life, love and family but he claimed it like a true hero.   I'll say that only the separation and small details during it regarding their intimate past and lack of equality were the only negative aspects of this story but even including them added a humanity that made if believable.  Yes we want the fairytale but sometimes adding a few bumps just keeps it real.  Nick wasn't perfect and he knew it.  But his love when he had a second chance was a love that you just knew was worth the wait.  Truly an epic read all the way through.

Sweet and Sexy.  That's what you'll find in these pages.  Deck and May were instalove on steroids.  Two virgins who stumbled upon each other in a passionate Cinderella like fairytale with scorching love scenes.  Thu he added suspense was great and the epilogue sweetened the whole thing perfectly. Big Rock took my by surprise. I was a little nervous because friends to lovers stories don't always work for me. I don't like to find out that one (usually the heroine) has been secretly pining for the other while watching them with other people. This didn't happen here. Spencer and Charlotte actually were just great friends and business partners. He acknowledged she was an attractive woman but he just really enjoyed her friendship. Charlotte has been out of a relationship for a while and Spencer has always been the playboy who doesn't really have relationships. So when things occur that cause them to fake and engagement, well the lines get blurry. I adored how they made rules and broke.. Almost all of them. Things got hot quickly and these two realy had the best chemistry. Spencer cracked me up quite a few times. I loved how hard he fell and how he never doubted it. I can't wait for more. So many characters to explore Lauren.

Rock Courtship (Rock Kiss #1.5) by Nalini Singh

This is the second installment in the sexy thrilling rock and roll series by Nalini Singh and I was already 100% addicted (pun intended) after Fox and Molly’s sassy love story.  I was seduced by the sexy as sin Fox in Rock Addiction and totally wanted David and Thea’s story as soon as I was finished reading it. Then Rock Courtship is finally here and this is me. So yea, I’m pretty excited but kinda nervous too because how can the “gentleman of rock” compare to the dirty mouthed alpha male Fox? Well there really wasn’t any comparison because these 2 men were totally 100% unique but all MAN all the way.  His gentleman exterior also crossed over into his sweet and tender heart. This guy had the biggest and sweetest heart I’ve read in a long time. The joy that David felt at simply seeing emotions cross Thea’s face or giving her pleasure just took my breath away. He was totally “in to her” in every single way. His sweetness didn’t stop him from being a dirty boy in the bedroom at all. He had this intensity about him that almost seem to vibrate with need and want for Thea. she had no recourse but to give in and to give back.  Thea was a tough chic and she needed that certain type of guy to be able to see through the glass and steel walls she’s put up and find the feminine and romantic woman inside. David knocked down those walls  and more. He helped her fight her fears and also together they became an amazing team.  I might have been seduced by Fox but I was swept off my feet by David and I’m totally still swooning.  This is one series that I will be anxiously awaiting each installment hoping for another loyal hero going after the woman he loves. How to Kill Your Boss - An Erotic Love Story by Krissy Daniels

Total freaking thrilling erotic joy ride!      Loved every moment of this story. I honestly for some reason expected it to be more comedy. But as there were some pretty funny parts. I mean the title of the book is basically from the fact that Tatum our heroine really can't stand her boss and daily dreams of killing him in so may humorous ways.   Despite what it seemed, violence wasn’t my nature. I could barely stand to kill a spider. There was something about the man that drew morbid fantasies out of my psyche. Perhaps I needed to see a shrink. Perhaps not. Dreams were cheaper than therapy.   That and her inner dialogue cracked me up so many times I literally laughed out loud and when you are reading in a silent room and you do that ..well it causes some pretty strange glares.   Girlfriend? Why did that word, coming from his mouth, make me want to put on a princess dress and twirl around the kitchen?     But let me tell you there was way more suspense then comedy and I adored it! Like edge of my seat ..holding my breath loved every second. I mean totally moments of wide eyed wonder.   Franklin was something out of my  perfect alpha hero fantasy dreamland. Like he had every single element I loved in a hero. Bossy and sweet, Sexy and arrogant. But most of all 100% in love and loyal to Tatum. Like he cherished this girl and worshiped her.    So much mystery and so many secrets throughout his amazing read. I was hooked and didn't want it to end. This is the 2nd book I've read for this author and I can honestly say from the bottom of my heart ...she writes her heroes as if she reached into my brain and created them just for me. I am so fangirling right now.  NOTE  TO AUTHOR:  Krissy, I am so hoping you decide to make this into a series. I'd like so much to see Lizzie get a hero just as hot and tough and sexy as Franklin was. She's so feisty, I could see this story just being explosive. I can't believe I'm saying this but even Sasha ...that would be another storyline ..she does deserve to have someone after all.  Did I mention that I love you?? Preorder above!!
