Innocent Target (Redemption Harbor #4) by Katie Reus

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/38477807-innocent-target

There's just something pure, something right and something refreshing about Katie Reus and her stories. What draws me to this
author is simply the trustworthiness of her characters. I am one who reads for an escape to feel deeply. I don't want to be bogged down by unnecessary drama . Katie gives you suspense, passion, romance and above all loyalty. You believe in her heroes and you feel protective of her couples. I just love her.

Innocent Target sucked me in from the first page. Axel seemed like a guy who walked a fine line between right and wrong and yet once you pulled back his layers you see him as the hero he truly is. Hadley recently became a full fledged member of a family and crew of people that would lay down their lives or take one in a heartbeat if someone or someone threatened her or one they loved.
This redemption harbor crew is the epitome of what family should be.

These men for sure protect and love their women like I search for in my romance. Axel fit right in and stole my heart like Hadley stole his.
This was a fantastic installment into a favorite series of mine. Loyal and protective heroes are my weakness. Katie always gives me that and a riveting plot.

Last Hope (Hitman #4) by Jen Frederick & Jessica Clare @JensFred @_JessicaClare

I have to say that this book was by far the most different storyline that these two authors have dreamed up so far. Yes it's got the sexy dangerous hero and the feisty funny heroine. But it's got so much more. Rafe blew my mind. From his sexy innocence to his heartbreaking past I fell hard and completely for this beautiful man. Ava was just what he needed. Not too experienced to be jaded but confident enough to wrap him in the love he deserved. I laughed out loud at some of the dialogue and could have sworn a time or two I heard cheesy porn music start playing.
Especially every time "Godzilla" was mentioned..oh yea baby.

But underneath the humor and the sexy dirty talk there was a sense of healing and acceptance that these two authors have a knack for writing.

Their heroes are wrapped in the most beautiful outer package but what's underneath is in need of the healing hand of just the right woman. This story had me smiling, swooning and just feeling good from the first page till the end.

Last Breath (Hitman #2) by Jessica Clare & Jen Frederick

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/19207601-last-breath

Daniel, I am so freaking in love with you! Yea ..totally and head over heels. This book was like a theme park ride that wouldn't quit. But I definitely didn't want it to end at all!

I really wanted more of Daniel from his small part in Last Hit. He has this intensity that just pulls at you. Regan really got the short end of the stick with her luck. To be in the wrong place at the wrong time and be sold into sexual slavery? Wow. A promise to a friend and added on top to a mission to find his sister and he was so determined to complete both. Daniel pulls Regan from the darkness and helps her in so many ways. He had been so numb for so long and didn't give himself the time to feel anything but anger. Regan tears down his walls and he can't fight it.
Regan’s real danger is to that lump under my left breastbone. It’s starting to beat again.

The sexual chemistry was apparent at least on Daniels side even to his own  guilty conscience and chagrin. He didn't feel it was appropriate that he had all of these lustful  feelings and fantasies but eventually Regan wanted to feel like she wasn't broken. Daniel knew just what to do to make her feel in control and to have the power that had been taken from her for so long.

These authors write in a way that I freaking love. I need my heroes to feel possessive and protective of their women and Daniel was a true freaking HERO.

I love how in both books we were able to see how their relationship grows and how real life affects them when all of the dangerous things are settled. It's like an HEA in the middle and that I freaking LOVE

I will never forget this story. I am anxious to see who the next book will be about. I'm hoping that Mendoza will eventually get a book. Yea, he just sounds yummy and rough. Vasily and Naomi seem like they fit together perfectly. Can't wait for more.

I am definitely moving these authors other books right up the TBR mountain. I'm hooked!!
